My ideal rapper is Nas. He makes me think. He tries to do something different on each album. He isn't afraid to grow up and rap about his life and things that have changed. I think he has more confidence than any rapper out, he gets these crazy ideas and makes em work and isn't afraid of what we will think, he just does it cus it's his music and I respect that. As far as flow, voice, lyricism and such go, it really isn't that important to me anymore, as long as it sounds good. There are a lot of lyricists out there who get hype cus of that which I'm all for but they offer almost nothing else and it annoys me. But if dude is a lyricists saying something with meaning or something that makes sense then I'm listening. That's why Nas is my favorite rapper and Memory Lane is my favorite song. My ideal rapper is someone who is trying to push the envelope not just units. Rakim and 3 stacks are ideal also, as far as Women go it is Lauryn Hill easily, no Woman rapper let alone most dudes compare to her.
