Will.I.Am got burned by Daft Punk....dammit

Well, here's some interesting news that sucks for will though.

So basically, Will did a remix of "I Got It From My Momma" which heavily sampled Daft Punk's "Around The World" (which I fucking LOVE btw, I actually had Around The World on cassette single way back in 1997)

Now I'm guessing they had some plans for this, since they shot a big Daft Punk-esque video for the remix.

Unfortunately they decided to do this before hearing back from Daft Punk's lawyers regarding the sample (probably assumed it was OK due to Kanye sampling Harder Better Faster Stronnger?)

Daft Punk said no to the use of the sample. I dunno if it's true but supposedly they said no because they really despise "My Humps". LOL.

souds more like Daft Punk got burned by Will.I.Am since he used their sample without permission. what did he expect? if you don't wait for sample clearance then it's your own fault when the owners of the sample come after you.
