very, very nice.

nolan's joker, according to nolan himself, was based mostly on the joker from the one-shot comic "the killing joke". if anyone here wants to read it i can upload it, you'll have to read it on the pee-cee though. it's an amazing comic.

here's Batman: The Killing Joke deluxe edition. this is the .cbr version so you'll need a comic reader program. i have a pdf version as well but don't have time to upload it at the moment, the cbr is just a link i found on the net. if anyone wants the pdf version instead let me know and i'll up it tomorrow. and preach is definitely right, it's an awesome comic.

There's not a single good version of it online. They ALL look like crap. :(
actually i downloaded a halfway decent TS of it for my dad to watch lol. he saw Batman Begins on TV last week and was interested by the commercials for The Dark Knight and all the talk about Ledger's performance. it wasn't great but it was watchable.

^^ thanks for the pdf man, really appreciate you going through all the trouble of uploading it twice :)

I have a link to a pretty decent version of the movie btw, would it be okay if I post it in this thread?

Yeah. A few TS leaks are out now. Some cropping issues and the sound is on the shitty side but definitely watchable if you want to re-live those Joker moments.

I said watchable and I mean at its native resolution. Not at 2560x1600. :(
I'm fairly certain you have the same leaks.

There's the STG leak. The colors are a bit dull with some yellow tints on the whites.

The mVs leak. Sharper colors but still the pixelation in darker parts and overcropping.

It'll be well into August before we get a good TC leak.
I'll post an update if anything changes.

The charisma the Joker had was insane.

I just love how he carried himself, and how the pitches in his voice dragged some words to add more spark to what he was saying. it just seemed so natural and not acted.

overall, i give the movie a 9.9/10

I wonder who they will have in the 3rd one.

i heard some people mention Johnny Depp as the Riddler.

if he is REALLY focused, he is VERY capable of pulling something like the Joker off.

I mean, in pirates of the carribean, he made Jack Sparrow VERY Unique.

Just mix it is with his Sweeny Todd type of stuff and he would be awesome!

EDIT: I have to admit that the Joker actually creeped me out...like scared me creeped me out in a scene or two.

that has never happened to me, and i see A Lot of twisted movies.
now that wouldnt be bad.

Johnny Depp as the joker. he could pull it off like shadows said.
I'm sure Johnny Depp could pull of the Joker like Heath did because Depp is a very talented actor. But given that Heath did it for the 2nd movie and pulled it off so greatly, I wouldn't appreciate him being replaced by any actor, that can pull it off like him or not. However, I'd definitely see Depp play The Riddler. I'm sure Depp would fit in perfectly with the tone of Batman Begin/The Dar Knight series.

As for leaks... I'm not even looking. They will be crap for some time.

call me elitist but my killing joke isn't the deluxe edition. if you didn't know, the deluxe edition is like the revamps in the star wars series.. ;p recolored pages and altered facial expressions, etc. in all honesty i got it and it looked better than mine so thanks!

^^Well they all look like shit and sound cuts out at the WORST times. The internet has really been letting me down lately :(
well the one i dl'ed had no sound cutouts but there is a glitch where the movie locks up for a bit and you miss one or 2 scenes. other than that tho, besides the picture being a bit darker and the sound quality muffled, it was fairly decent. if you're really picky about quality tho, you'll probably have to wait for a while yet before a real good q leak comes out.

well just for fun, here's a cbr of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns 10th Anniversary edition. if anyone wants i also have Frank Miller & David Mazzuchelli's Batman: Year One series and the Batman: The Long Halloween series, which was another major influence for Nolan's Batman. just ask and i'll upload them later if i have time.
