Its entertaining. Def worth a watch or 2. :thumb:

What is it about? What kind of movie is it?
Ya know, its a shame there isn't some kind of internet movie database where you can search for movies and find out what the movie is all about along with other cool info.

Its a dam shame.

^^ I cant remember the last time a movie staring a female didnt "bomb."

Give me one movie with a "star" female lead purely about a female that was a huge box office success?

Elizabeth perhaps? Although that had a genre around it.

All of Nicole Kidman's last movies bombed. As did Jolie's.

Pretty woman, all the alien films, erin brockovich (made about 250mill profit), Titanic (made what a billion at least), G.I. Jane, The Exorcist, Charlie's Angels, Bridget Jones's Diary, Sister Act, Miss Congeniality (made 200 mill).

Thats off the top, with more research I could come up with a gang of more.

Also many had sequels.

well for Ruk's question, i think illjoe answered it sufficiently enough, although i think he was asking for recent movies, not like Titanic which is 10 years old. he does have a point tho, movies witth females as the main lead don't seem to be doing too well lately.

however, with that said, Jessica Alba is not the star of this movie, neither is Dane Cook. they are co-stars with equal billing, kinda like how Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl were co-stars in Knocked Up. so if the movie bombed, you can't really blame it on one or the other.

I meant recently. With the current state that movies are in.

So from the recenter ones that you mention, Titanic was all about Leo and James Cameron, it's not like whats he name carried the movie. Charlies Angels tanked. The second Bridget Jones tanked, as did the second recent Miss Congeniality.

Yeah exactly. My rant kind of stemmed from the fact that Alba's latest movie, The Eye, looks like it will tank.

Him mentioning Titanic was the least of my concerns with his list... Pretty Women? Thats like 25 years old lol.

Women nowadays just cant carry a movie, audiences are not interested for some reason. Unless its a movie geared towards women and then only half the movie going population see it anyway.
