it is not uncommon for a movie to be screened in a theater weeks or even months before its release date. often when the studios do that it is a test screening to see how the audience liked it and sometimes the final release will be different becaue they made changes based on reactions from the test screenings

exactly. this rip didn't come from a movie theater. chances are, being the time of year that it is, and from looking back at last year at this time (although it was closer to Christmas) and how many DVD screeners there were available on the net for movies still in the theaters, i'd say this was an Academy leak, but that's only my best guess.

Puff pretty much summed it all up. Somebody is gonna get shitted on if they found out who leaked this.

Also on the note of test screenings. I used to go to alot of these since they literally give the tickets away. All they require you to do is answer a questionnaire after the movie but hey, you get to watch a movie months before it even comes out and sometimes months before it's even announced. Biggest difference in a movie i ever saw was when i watched a test screening for Freddy Vs. Jason. The version i watched Freddy won at the end.....

Movie is dope as fuck. Guess i know why Jigga's single is called Blue Magic. RZA had a bigger role than i expected, bigger than Common and T.I i found.

My friends and I watched it tonight, pretty amazing movie. It's a pretty long movie but I wish it was longer and had more detail but anyway good good movie.

upon second viewing of this film, all i have to say is that Denzel had better get another Oscar for this one. to be honest, they could have cut out the whole plot with Richie fighting with his wife for custody of the kid, since it really had no bearing on the plot and did little to enhance his character in any way. other than that tho, this is easily the best film of the year, at least that i've seen anyway.

Actually, Id like to find someone to review films for the site on a semi frequent basis. It could lead to getting dvds from the studios to review, tickets to screenings, etc etc. DP Im kinda looking at you.

i'd love to do movie reviews, but unfortunately i don't get to see enough new movies to really be good at it lol. i can do reviews for movies i do see though, whether it's for you guys through the site, or if i just do it on my own. i'm seeing 30 Days Of Night later today so i may post up my review for that, and i'll probably do one up for We Own The Night, which i saw the other day, but haven't gotten around to posting anything about it yet.

i watched this last night and it is a outstanding movie. one of the best films in the past few years. i thought T.I. was gonna have a bigger part in the movie.

whos the puerto rican chick in the film?? i saw her my jaw dropped to the floor she is a goddess talk about a trophy wife.

Denzel was awesome in this movie just as good acting as he did in Training Day.

.. yes Denzel does a great job with the role, but thats about the only thing great I saw in the movie. And even still he played that 'hardcore' role alot better in Malcolm X and Training Day already, so no surpirses there really

I agree, it was wayyyyyy tooooo longggggggggggg..... I also didn't understand the point of including Russell Crowe's character's wife and child (goin thru that divorce shit)..

I went into this movie with perhaps too high of expectations, i'm still glad i saw it... but it definitely wasn't one of the best in a few years, IMO
