I watched the movie a few days ago but i hadn't had a chance to write up a review so here it is. Honestly i thought the movie was great! In the original, John Carpenter really didn't give a back story as to why Michael got so fucked up in the head. I liked this one because Rob Zombie did a great job showing everything that lead up to Michael just straight cracking and turning into a homicidal maniac. He also kept in all the original music which i really liked. Like Snowman said, he made the girls really slutty (and completely annoying at times). So i was really glad to see Michael straight fuckin slice them them up . He kept several classics scenes in the movie but changed them somewhat (im not gonna say which ones, you will recognize them). My only complaint about the movie was the ending, im not gonna give it away but i just didn't like it. All in all, im happy with the way the movie turned out. The actors did a great job of portraying the classic roles and the guy that played Michael Myers was crazy in the role. 8/10

Friday The 13th remake....interesting. I'm a MASSIVE jason fan.

Is it a remake of the first movie though? If so, it's not going to have Jason in it, until the very last minute. the first movie wasn't about jason and he wasn't the killer in it.

from what i read this will also explain Jason's troubled childhood. this is gonna explain the early years of jason right up to the point where he drowns..an the movie will go into parts 1,2, and some of 3. one main thing they wanna do is explain the story of jason getting the mask for the first time. i think that this remake wont live up to the hype of halloweens remake. which will dissapoint all the jason fans. what i would like to see in the friday remake let a deep secret out that jasons real father is freddy krueger and freddy was the one that let jason drown. (this would be a big build up to freddy v jason 2). jason mom decides not for jason to carry the name krueger and changes it to voorhees. (Just throw that in the movie)

once friday gets their remake done. both friday and halloween need to go back to their old storylines. at least 2 halloween movies. one movie can be with Josh Harnetts character on a quest to kill his uncle for Michael killing his mom. and two.. the little baby from part 6 all grown up as he finds out he has myers blood in him and michael coming after him and trying to kill him.

i also read they want to make another halloween season of the witch type movie too.

I've watched the workprint version, I know the final release will be a little different but still Halloween the original is perfect, there was no reason to remake it, especially by Rob Zombie.

Hey I mean I like Devils Rejects & House of 1000 Corpses but they can't really be classed as good movies, I was kind of surprised when I first heard about him remaking a classic movie.

What are you talking about? Devil's Rejects was the fuckin shit! Rob Zombie does something that movie companies dont really do these days. His movies don't fall into the formula that people consider a scary movie these days. When was the last time you watched a scary movie and it actually freaked you out? Not very often these dayz, but Zombie doesn't give a shit and makes movies that make you say out loud "WTF!?" I understand though, and i myself am opposed to classics being re-done. But this is one remake that doesn't really bother me. Unlike other pieces of shit remakes that i wish they woulda never touched (Willy Wonka).

Hey I liked em, I'm just trying to make a point the dude sucks at directing... and shouldn't have been able to touch one of the best slasher flicks ever made.

Wow I just saw the IGN review, they gave 0 out of 5 stars, I don't think I've seen a movie score that low on there

I watched the movie in the theatre yesterday and i realized why everybody is giving the movie such crappy reviews. I mean shit the theatre version fuckin sucks compared to the workprint that was leaked! So many scenes were taking out and changed it's not even funny! I will post them all up later on when i get a chance but i agree with the reviews the "theatre" version got cause it really does suck!
