I thought this post would be interesting. I'm willing to best some of you haven't even heard of some of these people. But seriously, no Apathy or RA The Rugged Man? What kind of list is this? I guess having people like Vinny Paz, Necro and Ill Bill are debatable though.
Apathy > Slug / Aesop / Streets / Edan.

Ive met Aesop, Ive smoked and kicked it with him twice, and he is a cool dude, but I wouldnt consider myself a fan (and he was always cool with that which is one of the things I liked about him).

And Ive got two words for you and this blog author, Sage Francis.

Yeah, to me it's just crazy that Apathy wasn't listed at all. I'd be satisfied even if he was listed at 10. But to not be on there at all? He's made a big name for himself on the underground scene and he eventually signed with a major record label. It didn't go good for him there, but he got the deal either way. He's a HELL of a lyricist too man. Probably the best white lyricist i've ever heard. Normally I wouldn't say that, but the topic IS what it is. ;)

As far as Sage Francis, i'm not really a fan. Never have been and probably never will be. He's just one of those rappers I never liked much. He's from RI like myself, so you can tell i'm not just hating.. lol. Should he be up there though? Yeah, probably.

You're from RI? Im gonna go there next year once Tek gets parole, he's from RI. Actually, Sage recorded one of his first, if not first, album in Tek's apartment he shared with a friend.

You know what linx, Id like to see you come up with your own Top 10 as an official StreetHop article ;)

Oh yeah? Dope. I live in Providence. He probably does too, lol. I'm not a big article person. And I don't really like to make lists. Espically if I have to rate/order them.

man dude's keep sleeping on Bubba Sparxxx & Brother Ali, both have put out dope records in the last 5 years. Either one should have got a mention at least, not necessarily top 10 white emcee's but they're dope regardless..

the real list

1-ill bill - been on the scene since early 90s, been a serious emcee (not shock value) since 95/96 when Non Phixion came to life, has one solo and 3 mixtapes to his name, besides a bunch of group projects by Non Phixion and work with his brother Necro

2-eminem - infinite, slim shady ep and lp = amazing. he's fallen off since but nuff said.

3-necro - huge amount of work out, but his production outshines his rapping. GREAT with multi's in his lyrics, at his best from 98-2004 on the mic. still making good shit now, but his flow will never be what it used to be.

4-eh im too high to continue. who cares i got 1-3 right.

When I first read the title I thought for sure Cage was gonna be left off, Hell's Winter is gooood. For me there is no doubting that Em is the best white rapper ever, I would say the dudes explanation for El-P had more to do with his production than his rapping. I never knew Charles Barkley said that either, lol.

I think there should be also Cilvaringz considering he's white-arabian
Dude dropped a dope album, but he hasn't accomplished more than the other people mentioned. I'm sure he'll be mentioned if he keeps up what he's doing, but for now? Nah.

yeah considering the album took 6 years to finish.
He haven't achieved as much as most others from that list but I'd put him instead of the streets. At least he's really talented and the amount of will and energy he put into being who he is now is unbelievable. He did literally everything to be affiliated with Wu-tang. Before that he was just a plain guy who went onstage on their concert and dropped a dope ass verse. Everybody were impressed but didn't care about him after that. I don't even imagine how much energy and motivation this guy had flying to America so many times just to contact the RZA - considering RZA didn't give a fuck to even talk to him. But finally he achieved what he wanted.
Dropped a dope ass album - one of the best albums I've heard lately. What the streets did that he didn't?
