Non-Urban Music Angels and Airwaves

I'm not up on current entertainment, and especially not rock, but apparently the lead singer of blink-182, one of my fave rock bands, is now in a group called Angels and Airwaves. A friend of mine played some of their music for me the other day and it was pretty good. Anybody know anything about em or have any recommendations?

Yeah they had an album out last year. Wasn't too bad. The other two guys from blink182 also have a new band called Plus44.

For the record, I dislike both bands. And blink-182. And Box Car Racer. And The Transplants.
