EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Sample:
I was going to post this in the videos section, but truthfully I think this is a much bigger issue than just a video and I wanted to give it the spotlight it deserved. It seems that once again Hip-Hop is being targeted for its content, and certain people are demanding the censorship of the art form, some people are even giving in and going along with it -- like Master P -- but that's a whole other article I will get to another day. Below are two videos of 50 Cent and T.I. defending Hip-Hop. Let me make this very clear,...

What T.I says makes perfect sense.

Edit: Lmao, 50 was funny.

I wish they all would make more tracks about those issues they are talking about and release them, make a video and so on, than making another club banger which is all over the tv.

^^^ Not even Nas actually meant it was dead so I dont know why people like you want to take his statement and run with it like it is the truth; it's not and Hip-Hop is not dead.

^Just so stale anymore. I dont have all the time in the world to search for underground stuff that's orginal. Im sure its out there too, I guess its my problem. I just stick to the rappers I started listening to 10+ years ago. Mainstream Hip-Hop just is not for my generation anymore... and Im only pushing 24.

.... But on a side note, there IS PLENTY rap out there worse than TI, so no biggie.

people can say they dont like 50 or they dont like T.I. but most of the time 50 is either fucking with someone or saying something really smart business wise. and TI may play around too but he's always saying smart stuff business wise. point is that they are stupid guys. :thumb: so i trust them to defend hip hop and i try to defend it to people who down talk it when i can. peace

50 Cent is one of those people that clearly has intelligence and in interviews can spark up a decent answer to a question about social problems but then he goes on to speak the same shit on his cd's. In 2003, when 50 said Talib Kweli was one of his favorite artists the prospect of him switching his topic content up even just a lil' bit was really anticipated but apart from Position Of Power off Massacre, he kept mainly to his safe zone.

T.I. is exactly the same. And I know why they do it, they want the green to achieve their dreams. I don't hold that against them but the fact that they can reach so many ears and possibly make a difference to a kid thats struggling somewhere but rather they spit the same ol' super-thug shit is what gets to me about them. And thats why I would classify them as in the other thread, rappers not emcee's.

In saying that their music is what it is and fits a certain mood, be in club vibe or with your partner whatever.

On the topic what 50 said to the second reporter was hilarious. Just wish these dudes would one day take in light what they say in interviews and turn that intelligence thats evident into powerful music...... doubt it tho.

^^^I agree with everything you say. I really do.

I can listen -and like to listen- to T.I., but I really can't stand listening 50 anymore.
