Film & TV Do movies outside of the States release at the same time?

Like Spiderman 3 came out last weekend (I think so) did the Euro's and Aussie's get the same release date?

spiderman 3 was released in japan like two weeks before the states and released a few days or a week in europe before it did in the u.s.

u.s. movies typically open in the states first but sales have been down and more sales have been coming in more from other parts of the world so studios are trying new things like releasing films overseas before here. just depends on the company putting itout.

what Puff said is right, but here in Canada, movies have opened at the same time up here as down there for as long as i can remember.

Spidey 3 opened on Monday or Tuesday, cant remember, of the same week in Europe and shit. A lot of movies actually have global release dates. It did 29 mil over there on day one and something like 50 here.

Spidey opened here on the 4th of May here in South Africa, dont know the date of the release in States.

Some movies come out later, some come out a day earlier, some come out at the same time.

300 was late.
S3 was day early.
28 Week was same time.

Pirates will be day early.
Transformers will be day early.
Die Hard 4 got pushed back a couple of months.

Spider Man 3 came out on the 4th of May in the UK.

When I was younger, I used to go to American army base near where I live and go and see films like a month before my friend could. I miss having an American ID card so I could go on bases and pay nearly half price for everything. I love shopping there

Back in the day movies would come out here way later, some still do. But nowadays most come out at the same time, for example last year The Omen came out on 6/6/06 everywhere in the world, cos it made sense.
