Id rather they let it rest for 10 years and then went back to it a la Batman Begins or Superman Returns with a new cast.

Toby and Kirsten dont want to be in it and Im all for that. Spiderman movies to me are about Spiderman and the awsome direction and story, I wouldnt care if they gave it a break to let our minds reboot and then made 4 with a different (better) cast.

im perfectly fine with the cast, but i always pictured eddie brock to be bigger, and not being played by toby, i guess reading the comic books and watching the cartoon had something to do with my personal image of venom...but this is the movie i definetly want to see...1 and 2 were good!

i see people saying that Kirsten and Tobey said they didn't want to do another one, but as far as what they have said in numerous interviews (just saw Tobey on the Daily Show last week) if the rest of the cast and Sam come back, they will do more. so as far as i know, neither of them have officially said that they were totally done with the series. although, considering the mass amounts of cash these movies have generated for Sony, i find it highly unlikely that there will be any more than 3 or 4 years before the next one, regardless of the cast and director.

i heard somewhere that Sam Raimi will be directing the next 3 ones. there will be a next one within the next 5 years.

The ending reminded me too much like LOTR, where you THINK its the ending but its not really. Too much crying and romance for me, not enough action. And wtf is with sandman at the end? Thats no ending at all, JUST FLY AWAY!

SPOILERS

Just seen this movie - just been released on dvd over here in uk, and think it is crap.

Tobey maguire tries too hard to play a geek of peter parker and as a result for most of the movie he looks 'goggle-eyed'.

The web swinging scenes were few and over complex, the camera was all over the place.

Complete Lack of Spidey dialogue. There were absolutely no quirky/witty comments from Spiderman to his foes, which is pratically his trademark and features heavily in comics.

The story and plot is old. I have seen everything in that movie that has been in cartoons on Jetix just recently. There was no mention of the word 'Sonic Vibrations' - which destroys the black-suit. Peter is supposed to be a scientist, he shoulda figured this out and let the audience know.

And to top it off it's a movie where Spiderman runs around with his mask off. Destroying his secret identity persona, pratically the first, and most important priciple in superhero ethics.
