So the biggest producer in the world puts an unknown singer that you know on his album, and you criticise him? I know you got a lot a lot of respect on here, but i think you and your friend know shes pretty lucky to be on an album like this, as good as she maybe is.
Firstly, Timbaland is not the biggest producer in the world.

Secondly, I think it's cool that Amar is on Tim's album. I'm just saying, this isn't the greatest thing she's ever done. As someone that knows how good of a singer she is, I know she can do and has done better than this track. In fact, listen to the official remix of "Promiscuous Girl" with her on it on her MySpace, her vocal on that is much better.

He is the biggest music producer and most popular person to work with in 2007 though....

Personally I think Timb will get a Grammy this year...

I predict Will.I.Am will have more production hits this year.
Not a bad prediction, but I'm leaning w/Timbaland. Will I Am's rap crossovers generate a lot of hype, but haven't been as popular as Timbaland's. Examples: Common's "Dream," Busta's "I Love My Bitch." But Timbaland with "My Love," "Promiscuous Girl," "Sexy Back," "What Goes Around," "Say It Right," and that new one where he disses Scott Storch - those are just on another level. I feel like Timbaland's stuff is fuller, looser, and brings more energy and moods f/so many different collaborators, and will.i.am's are simpler and more basic.

word... will.i.am is a good producer but his shit is more basic... "hip hop is dead" comes to mind... this album is solid... i would consider it a concept album seeing that it has so many genres it's unbelievable...

ive been bumpin this more than any album since food & liquor...

9.5/10

Timbaland didn't produce any of those songs. His protege Danjahandz did.

Who told you that?
Timbaland's right hand man, Jim Beanz, told me that. He does all the vocal production and backing vox on Tim & Danja's stuff.

Tim has the name, but if you are familiar with both his and Danja's work you'd know exactly who came out with grooves like "sexy back", "dirt off ya shoulder", "promiscuous", "my love", etc.

Not saying Tim hasnt done anything recently, he did some of the album tracks on both JT's and Nelly's albums, but the singles , were Danja's grooves.

Oh and while we're having a conversation, do you know Ishmael , South African singer, rapper and producer? He's part of Jozi as well but was famous as a solo artist before that.

He is also featured on our new album, him and Pras are on the same track.

I have heard of him vaguely . Dont know how much he produced of their new album , he might of produced that new single of theirs "whats with the attitude?" , but he is definitely singing the hook on the song. dope song , you can check it out on youtube. But yeah they are quite popular down here , how did you go about choosing them specifically to appear on the album

Our manager is also the Head of International Operations at Ghetto Ruff Records (Ishmael, Zola, Jozi, etc).

Hence Ishmael and Jozi being on the album, we were trying to do something with Zola as well but it didn't work out for this album, we'll probably do something with him for the next one. Hence also me being able to hear the original cut of 'Pac's "International" with Zola on it that I mentioned a while back.

Yeah, I've heard that track, What's with the attitude, I remember listening to it about six months ago when it was first recorded, our manager played us the demo of it from his MP3 player when we were on tour in France, when we got back we sent them the tracks we were working on to see what they would come up with. Good track.

The track with Ishmael and Pras and the one with Jozi will both be going to radio in S.A as well, so I'll let you know when to look out for them, the album will be coming out there too.

Ishmael is coming over to perform at our launch party in London, Pras is flying out from NYC as well, and some of the other artists on the album will be there too so it's all cool. It's very likely we'll be doing some gigs in S.A at some point too so I'll keep you updated and get you on the guestlist if you wanna come.

Please don't start another 1 along the lines of "Scott Storch produces all of Dre's hits".... That done me in last year.....

People love to talk.... Don't believe all they say to be true... Even if Timbalands mum says it.

Dre and Timbaland have shown success and longetivity that is hard to match... They are free to use people to play music and arrange keys... They are on a higher level than "DJ" which is what a hip-hop producer really is and they are more of the traditional producer....

will.i.am is good, and completely underated... But I think Timbaland and even Akon have been involved in a lot larger hits this year... Thankfully Scott Storch took 6 months off...

Timbaland will tell you himself that Danjahandz did those songs. If you want, I can look it up on the MCPRS royalties database and see who has what percentages on the tracks.

I like this album, like a lot of timbalands past beats.

I think there is a good veriety in the sounds/tracks on the album. I can put the whole cd on to repeat and listen to it through n through, they go together well.

Check the latest issue of Scratch for more on Danja. And the fact he wants to continue working with Timbaland, even though he has made a name for himself... Doesn't sound like something you'd want to do if someone else was taking credit for your work.
