Why did he go at MGK so hard?
MGK made a comment about Haley being hot when she was only 16 (thus the "are Kelly/R. Kelly". Eminem black balled him on Shady Records etc. MGK was talking subliminals and then dissed him on the Tech Nine collab "No Reason."

I’ve seen that tweet he made before and he said “no disrespect to Eminem he’s the king” or whatever.

I need to find the collab.

What’s amazing about this album is that Eminem can make a song sound good using a particular flow as a subliminal diss. Like who the hell uses a flow as a form of a diss but it’s actually good?

So I was out last night. Saw that the album dropped. Listened to one track on loud in the bathroom. Cut the night short. Went home. Went to bed with my girlfriend. Waited for her to get to sleep. Then put the headphones on and listed to the album twice before passing out.

Now I’ve jumped out of bed to listen on the speakers.

Album is fire. And I haven’t been this excited about an album in I don’t know how long; certainly not an Eminem album.

i'm fully convinced he has to hang around with a bunch of yes men who tell him his music is fire. he really went at people for not liking his shit lmao.
I tend to think the opposite. His previous albums that flopped have listening to executives written all over them and as per the Paul Skits his best albums have been not listening to them.

i think eminem reached a point where the executives don't tell him what to rap about. no matter what em puts out it's gonna sell well.

he dissed budden because he ain't like his album... and in all honesty that album was straight trash. the people eminem is surrounded by are afraid to tell him "hey, that's not dope".

Yeah, it grew on me since I posted earlier, I gave it more than two listens. I still don't have a single track that I really like on it, but there's just nothing bad about it too. Makes for a great background when I work.

Also, I can never listen to hip-hop in bed. Gets me too riled up, and always makes me leave the bed. I usually put on the bigger headphones and end up listening in the living room until way too late.

So wait does eminem diss d12?
He said D12 are over on Stepping Stone, but it's much more and nothing like a diss at the same time, since D12 is no more. The lyrics there are really good:

"You start thinkin' of all the artists you gift, all the carnage you left
Is this the kind of karma you get
For turnin' your fuckin' back on Bizzy, Kuniva and Swift?
I ain't feel so much guilt and y'all didn't harbor resentment
But it's hard to pretend that y'all ain't got none
I just wish I had words
But I guess they're just honored for this
To my partners, I can't say how sorry I am
This is not how I planned for our story to end
I love all of you, man
But I just can't be the guy everybody depends
On for entire careers 'cause that's not even fair
I will always be here, but that spark isn't there
And I don't know how to recapture that time and that era
I've tried hearkening back to, but I'm fightin' for air
I'm barely chartin' myself
Feels like I'm under the sink, but it was not my intent—
To treat y'all like a stepping stone
Though I ain't left no one behind, but we been down every road
Done all we possibly can, I know we kept our hopes up
But the longer we spend livin' this lie that we live
The less is left for closure, so let's let this go
It's not goodbye to our friendship, but D12 is over"

The D12 Wiki now refers to them as "D12 WAS an American hip-hop group(..)".

I've been listening to it over and over. Only tracks I'm not crazy about are Normal and Venom. This stands with his best work, and we all know that's saying a lot. Wow.

Venom should have just been a bonus track. That’s the only track I’m meh about too. It just feels tacked on; and probably was just for the film.
