I’m a media strategist; and I’m really good at my job. I’ve no doubt I will find something else but I just don’t want to be looking right now — I have enough on my plate. And if it takes two months I’ll be out on the street or my mom won’t have medical care. Or both.

First thing is not to panic. Take a day or so to regroup and do some calculations on what you have and need and work back from there

While the timing is less than ideal, you will survive this. Get support from your closed ones and look into your network for solutions. I’m sure by now you’ve got contacts in your field that can help you.
