I always found it weird that artists like him would say they are Christian Hip-Hop artists, rather than just be hip-hop artists or rappers and make music about what they feel like making. It limits their fan base. They could make the same music without automatically putting themselves inside a box.

Well, think about it from his perspective. C.S. Lewis said "If Christianity is not true, then it is of no importance. If it is true, it's the most important thing in the universe." It actually is more important to him than anything else.
