June 15. Kanye better not disappoint us with this Friday's release.

I feel like if this is a classic album all will be forgiven for Kanye lol and hopefully people start realizing that Nas > Jay Z.

I look forward to this. This is going to be Nas with Kanye production, right? I hope Kanye does the beats, but doesn't screw this up with too much of his "creative" input, lol. The good old Nas is right what he has to be.

And I always liked Nas much more than Jay-Z.

As much as I love Jay, I've long thought Nas was not only better, but the GOAT.

SOOO looking forward to this release, as I have since 2012 (would still love to hear the original album that was "done"), and he's released consistently good guest verses and compilation tracks in the time since.

Am excited to hear him over Ye beats, and while it will probably be production like on ye and Ghosts (haven't listened to Pusha's, so I can't speak on that), I would prefer old-school Kanye. On that note, we all know how inconsistent he is with picking beats, so I hope he made some good choices here.

The only thing I'm concerned about is the length; while they settled on seven tracks to make it tighter, one weak song would stand out more than it would on a longer release. (And, after six years, I would much rather have an LP than an EP.) Also, I'm always of the mind that more Nas is better; I probably like his maligned albums more than most people, so I don’t subscribe to him having too many duds (he does have some, as do all artists).

Pusha said this is 2028 Nas, whatever that means. I have no idea what to expect
While I'm sure the means that he's on some next-level stuff, one could read that as he sounds like a 55-year old rapping. (However, if anyone could still be hot at that age, my money is on him.)

So they're having a listening party tonight, but there's no deets as to what time. I assume it's going to be on the WAV app, which I download in that case; I hope there are no issues with it as there were for KSG.

Wav sucked for the ksg listening party.

And the 2028 Nas obviously implies the future but I was saying who knows what type of sound we're going to get

The listening party was on youtube yesterday, and the stream sucked. Between it freezing and restarting continuously, I heard maybe about half of the album. The release was supposed to be at midnight, but like the other GOOD drops, hasn't come out yet (well, for purchase anyway; I don’t do streaming, so I don’t know). I'm banking on noon local time.

I love the album... Although I do skip a couple of tracks

Kanye has single handedly made my listening the last month

I think it's a solid album. It's consistently fire throughout, but Bonjour is the weak link (not a bad song, but it doesn't really fit for me). It's obviously not the record he promised two years ago--which I hope we'll get at some point--but a great effort.

I love Nas. I love Kanye. Both of their albums are garbage.

Edit: At least they didn't make double albums. I love most of Drake's albums but Scorpion is all filler. I like a couple tracks. Elevate isn't bad. But man, most of the album is instantly forgettable

the album is total garbage.

i listened to it once and then later on "One Mic" came on shuffle and I remembered how good Nas used to be, and even that's not on a level with Illmatic. He seriously was Top 5, maybe even Top 3, ever. It's embarassing how bad that new record is.

Yes, this is definitely a different album.
