Joining now. Kinda tough coming up with 20 books I liked. Like I said, I haven't read much and nothing really sticks out from memory as an amazing book. I've got 10 so far.

putting books that you didn't like is just as important, actually. it's about rating what you read, not about listing what you liked.

I read one book in a world lit class in high school that I liked a lot. The Prophet, by Khalil Gibran. I listed it as a four or five start and now it keeps recommending all these books about Iran history, or something, which are all in Arabic. Might have to try and fix that.

I guess it kinda makes it tough for me to use because most of the books I have listed classics and fiction. That was interesting to me until a few years ago, where I kinda switched to liking non-fiction, like Freakonomics and the Lexus and the Olive Tree.

I didn't realise you'd be interested in economics and globalisation. I would have said SOFI, but not you. Not because I think you're retarded lol. But it's not the most interesting of subjects.

I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower back in middle school, as leisure reading. I have no interest in seeing the movie however.

I see. I think economics has a bit of philosophy and psychology in it that makes it real interesting to me. Especially books like these that are written on economics. I find that interesting enough that I can deal with the dryness of economics and see the social aspect of thinks like globalization and whatnot.

I read it in high school and into my freshman year of college. I had taken AP microeconomics and macroecomics for two semesters my senior year of high school and that kind of got the ball rolling. I read Freakonomics then and during class we would read excerpts from The World is Flat. It was more of a phase of economics.
