Those are one of the few Jordans I like. Got a pair of the black ones.
Good to hear. I liked them too.
It's gonna come off the wrong way, but I'll say it anyway. Most of the Nikes I see today that people get hyped up about, I see them as shows for...blacks and hispanics.
Growing up in my nice neighborhood, we had relocation of urban dwellers from their torn-down projects and into low-end condos and apartments across the highway from our nice neighborhood. I still remember the blacks and hispanics rocking these shoes. This image has stuck with me to this day from middle school, 12 years later.
So when I go out and look for stuff at the Nike Store and see the same styles from 2001 being the biggest fads today, it's a bit of a turn off. This is mainly the basketball shoes and the shoes they consider "casual." I think they may have actually been classified as "entertainment" shoes. They really looked like they belonged on one of those guys from my middle school. Not me.
I got over it. I really plan on just wearing it with jeans when I go out. I'm not that fashionable of a guy, so... whatever works. I will look like a coon and try and....coexist.
