Did anyone watch the premier? For those who don't know - it's a new HBO series with Jeff Daniels and written by Aaron Sorkin.

It was a bit preachy at times, but I liked the quick and witty dialogue. It has be hooked for the next episode.

Episode 2 was better than the pilot. That said, seems like some of the actors are awkward with Sorkin type dialogues, minus Jeff Daniels who's been great. The show nonetheless still has me hooked, it can only go up from here...

yeah, show makes me cringe. i could understand if you don't live in america and dig it because mostly every non-arabic foreigner gets an erection from corny liberal shit like this, but this is too much even for me.

Jeff Daniels was hilarious in last night's episode. Loved it.

I still like this show. But the 2 Americans on the board who watch, don't.

I feel the same as Jeff this week. I hate reality TV. And I end up calling people names and abusing them if they bore me about that shit. Especially that cuntathon that is "The Only Way is Essex".

I see your point. But.... The Newsroom is set in 2010.

Hence its fundamental problem, I say. Its too recent to be a history lesson and too old to provoke any new thoughts. If that makes sense. If you want to watch a show that makes fun of republicans and makes you feel good and smart about being a liberal just watch bill Maher. His show is at least in Real Time .
