I seriously cannot wait for this movie. It's going to be amazing. "Alien" is my cousins favorite movie of all time, so I'll try and go see this with him. He's been eagerly anticipating it since they first announced it! Ridley Scott will not disappoint.

But I don't go the cinema. Maybe when they stop charging £10 for a shitty hot dog.... I might. I went to Imax and it cost £40 for 2 tickets. The shit foods and drinks they sell are priced tooooooooooooooo stupidly. So.... I boycott.

IMAX tickets at £20 a pop is ridiculous. As much as I vouch for use of the IMAX experience, I don't think I'd pay that much for a ticket.

I go on Tuesdays. No snacks, just a subsidized movie ticket. I'm happy with that.

Besides, I'm against eating in a theater. Come NOT HUNGRY. How about that? I dislike the concept of a movie-going experience. It's about watching a film on a screen you cannot afford and hearing it from a sound system you cannot afford. It's not about dating. How about you go on a date where you can, I don't know, TALK TO A PERSON? It's not about fighting for who gets to use the arm-rest. It's not about hearing people eat popcorn or make comments on how the movie is going.

If I take my son, part of the experience for him is popcorn, sweets and the like. A lot of people feel the same.

The movie industry has some issues with their expectations of profits. Maybe they could stop churning out films like "This Is War". That would save money, and stop wasting celluloid.

You know what makes me mad? The guy might go to jail. He should be rewarded for probably teaching the kid a life-saving lesson.

I have no problem with cinema-going as a family outing. I mean, you don't go at the same time with your kid that I go to see a movie. I have a problem with going to the movies as something to do as opposed to going to the movies because you really want to see that movie.

The problem with that is that money talks. If people are OK with spending money to see a shitty film just because there's nothing better to do on a Tuesday night, that's telling Hollywood to keep churning out crap.

I only go to the cinema to see movies that I know are going to be really good and worth seeing on a big screen and nice sound system. Like I went to see The Avengers and I'll go to see Prometheus and The Dark Knight Rises, for example. But I don't go to the movies probably more than once a month. Maybe even less than that.

the last year has been terrible for film. even the oscar season, that i look forward to every year, was mediocre. TV is the new film.

What I hate most is when people with influenza, pneumonia, and emphysema think it's a good idea to go see a movie. And then sit around me. When I went to see The Avengers, this teen in my aisle was coughing and coughing until I wanted to slam him around like the Hulk did Loki.

No. It's the prequel to "Alien" - one of the greatest movies ever made.

But, unlike the Alien sequels - this was made by the original director Ridley Scott (also the man behind Blade Runner, American Gangster, the TV series Numb3rs, Black Hawk Down, Gladiator....) and original designer HR Giger.
