Thanks, SOFI.

This is going to take me forever to Sync on my 250k upload....!

1 Album every half hour... lol

Otherwise... It's very good.

What kinda bullshit slow upload speed is that? I have 3MB upload here. I can upload an album to Google Music in less than a minute.

Exactly...

I can only get 8mb down and 250k up. Shit local exchange. I am living outside of London at the moment in a semi-rural area. Basically... Windsor. But... I want to move back to a village within the city. Where I can get fibre again...! But the economy is fucked and no-one is selling.

For the Google Music Android app I would like to see:

1. the 'make available offline' feature work with individual songs. I don't necessarily need or want every song by that artist to be downloaded, but maybe just individual tracks from them.

2. the option to add individual songs into the Now Playing playlist, instead of a new playlist.

3. the ability to set songs (from the online storage) as a ringtone. it's more convenient that doing it all manually.

Otherwise it's really nice to use, and i never use the default android music app any more.

I am in Canada, this is not available for me. Fuck the Great White North.
There's a way to get it working.

First, get an invite. Hit me up with your gmail and I'll send one your way.
Unfortunately, upon clicking the invite, it will say "Sorry, Google Music Beta is only available in the United States".

Here's what you do. Download TunnelBear - it's free - and you'll get a little program that looks like this:

Flip the left switch to "On" and the right switch to "US", wait about 20-30 seconds until it says "Connected" and BOOM! Your computer now thinks it's in the US. Now click the invite in your mail and sign up for Google Music and it'll work. You can then turn off TunnelBear - as the Google Music country lock is only on the activation page, once you get past that, you're golden.

Then, simply do a google search for "Google Music Beta apk" and you'll find any number of links to manually install the APK to your device. Once installed, it'll ask you to sync, do that, and you're sorted.

Bonus - TunnelBear also works for any site that requires you to be in the US to use, like MTV, Hulu, etc etc. I use it all the time when video clips pop up with that stupid country lock message. Win.

It worked for turntable last time I tried it. Which was about a month ago. Make sure you clear your cache, connect Tunnelbear and then go to Turntable.

quick question:

If I buy music from the Android Market, can I then rename some of the song titles, and artist names once it's in my library?

Don't be stupid, SOFI. It's because he doesn't group them by artist names. It's "Sandeep's Favorite Hits," volumes one to infinity.

Is there a way to bypass the purchase restriction that is tied to the US?

I've tried to use Tunnelbear and it takes me to the purchase page but the only option is to select an American payment type. Any ideas?

Just in case anyone outside of the US wants to buy music:

I've purchased it. I had to lie about my address and put the city as California and Zip/Post Code as 90210 lol. It worked though. Then I put the international number as +44 for my mobile number.
