Lmao that sucks pittsey.

Can't believe she wrote that shit over to the church, religion is hell of a drug
I think the storyline of her losing her religion then getting it back is pretty good. It's not too far from the truth on how a lot of people become religious in life. They end up in a bad situation, pray to God, the situation gets better, and they think it's God's work. She ascribed her daughter's polio to her sins and Nucky's trial getting dismissed to God giving him a second chance. I fucking HATE PEOPLE WHO THINK LIKE THAT. lol

Oh yeah, fuck eli. James should've never been killed. Even at his worse James was more loyal to nucky that eli could ever be
blood is thicker than water :) how many times did we hear that on the show?

Eli will be killed off soon enough. He was never satisfied with Nucky even in the beginning when things were going well. Now that he has to do a bid, it's going to get worse. If he gets out of jail alive, I imagine he'll try to have Nucky taken out again.

But Jimmy was basically his son, and he made an effort to make up. Eli continued lying and wasn't prepared to right his wrongs.

I read a good review of the last episode where it broke down the obvious flaws and shoddy writing. Not enough happened earlier in the season, too much happened in the final episode.

Most season finales tend to have a lot of things happen quick. There's always the need to put a finale on every story line throughout the season.

I didn't have a problem with the writing. Boardwalk Empire is a show that moves slow. That's all.

I'm going to agree with that person. The majority of the season except for the final two episodes was boring. That and Margaret signing his land over to the church and Jimmy getting offed were too predictable.

I thought season 2 was better than season 1. Great ending to season 2.

I also look forward to seeing Michael Shannon play Richard Kuklinski in the film "The Iceman"

Two episodes in, the season is pretty good. I still miss Jimmy but this Gyp Rosetti guy is so dope haha. Also, that little showgirl that Knucky's with now...she's something special.

Just started watching the first episode and dude just made fun of Al's son. I got mad excited like ohhhh shit he did not. Slow moving or not, this is a very good show. I think of it as grown man tv.

This season has been the best by far. This show is fucking powerful. The slow built pace and character growth remind me of The Wire. You have an attachment to the show and the characters. Ristol is right on about Owen, that shit sucks. There isn't a character I don't like, that's crazy to me. I fucking hate Gyp but he is great. I'm so anticipating next weeks episode. How does the General go on without his soldier? So many questions.

Predictions?

We saw in the preview that Gyp invades Atlantic City. Nuck barely escapes with his life, then resurfaces with Chalky. After getting some well-deserved shit from Chalky, they all rise up against Gyp--just as Capone and Torrio's army arrive from Chicago. Torrio was conspicuously absent from Nuck's failed solicitation of Rothstein, which leaves him free to give his army's support in a sort of dues ex machina (or dues ex mafia, ha, ha) to Nucky's benefit. As we've seen though, it's hard to telegraph this show. Owen in a box? Jesus.

And why hasn't one of Gyp's own soldiers murdered him yet? None of them are safe. His number two, don't know the guy's name, should (after the shovel incident) be the one to put a bullet in him. He can say something excellent like, yeah, I do owe you; I owe you this: RAT TAT TAT

We're all 100% positive that Gyp will be dead be the end of this season. Right? I don't care who kills him at this point, but obviously such a fantastic villain deserves a dramatic death. I vote for that number two guy whose name I don't know.

Fuck yes fuck yes fuck yes. Dude Nucky is a fucking G. That last scene I was like oh shit he's going out like this, saving his Nephew, noble. Then Eli saying he cut a deal with him...I stood up and was like Yeahhhhh cus I knew it was Chi town. Then Omar(I bet his mother even calls him that now), what can be said, even Gyp didn't want it with him. I'm wishing I was watching this 2 months from now so I can watch em all back to back, waiting a week sucks

I'm so glad Van Alden wasn't in this episode. The show just slows down when he's onscreen. It's weird because I admire the acting, but I hate sitting through it. Just find that whole character arc very boring (except of course when Capone sticks a fork in him. That was cool).

Nucky shooting his way out of the bedroom. Wow. The whole opening sequence really. Got down to business right away, no bullshit. They've spent the whole season setting it up; so much exposition, so much backstory--ugh. It was about damn time for that elevator to ding and the war to begin in earnest.

Harrow's 63 should rise dramatically in the finale. Pumped.

Seeing Harrow gear up was cool. Does he choose a side though? Does he still want to get at Nucky? Is he pissed that Gyp invaded his space and got his dream crushed. All I know is I'd definitely want him on my side.

Yeah the opening scene was real good. As soon as the phone lines are cut you're like here we go. Nucky held his own well. He looks so brittle but everytime he fights he is somewhat successful, it's funny.

The music in some of these scenes are great. Whoever is responsible for it deserves a raise. The setting and haunting music for that last scene when Nucky goes out after his nephew was amazing
