I'm going to a music and arts festival here in Seattle on September 5th. It's a three day festival but I will only go on the 5th. There are three acts I really want to see and think dishing out $35 for it is well deserved. There's Big Boi, Kendrick Lamar, and Anthony Jeselnik (comedian).

Now, since I'm paying for the whole day, I might as well explore other shows. Help me pick out artists by recommending them. I'm sure you will recognize people I don't. Like, Hall and Oates. Who? Right? Yeah.

Look at the far right column for the 09/05 lineup. There's music, comedy, visual arts, performing arts, theatre, etc.

We don't like the same music, so I'll just say that if you've got nothing else to do when they're on, check out Broken Social Scene and Mavis Staples.

How do you not know Hall & Oates? For shame.

Anyway, I would be sure to go and see them, Fitz & The Tantrums, Phantogram, Vendetta Red, Charles Bradley, Sharon Van Etten. Can't guarantee you'll dig them all, but that's who I'd see.

Thanks Casey for a mature and helpful reply. Kids (Ristol), go stand in the corner and face the wall.
