What do we think of Odd Future?

Chris Brown is a pussy bitch. The reason Frank started clowning him is because Chris has been making subliminal shots at OF for weeks, and he, Tyler and Hodgy had been going back and forth for a while before Frank joined in.
OF made him look stupid. LMAO at you thinking Chris wanted to get him more followers.

Here's one of the original exchanges that went down. Start at Chris tweet at the bottom of the left column and then go to Tyler tweet to the right of it, then back to the left to read them chronologically.

Chris is the type of kid that shouldn't be on Twitter. He continues to make himself look more and more stupid.

I know the story.

But What YOU don't see is that ChrisBrown said he was tired of violent music. he NEVER said any names. Tyler just got butt hurt and started shit. It's like if someone says a general statement and you get butt hurt, it wasn't aimed at you, but you got butt hurt bc you're guilty of it.

And What Chris Brown does on twitter is genius.

He went from 2 milli followers to 3 in a month or so.

The other day, he got free promo by RT'ing all his haters for an hour, confusing his fans, (i wasnt, i caught on fast and @'d him "I see you seeing beautiful people) then he tweeted "Beautiful People" like 30 mins later.

That's promoing the song, getting ppl to talk about him. That's smart. It's supposed to be one of the songs of the summer to play when you're just chillin around a Bon Fire.

You are on CB, bc you don't like the fact that he's the closest to dancing like MJ and he's 21 and made some mistakes in his life, but the kid has talent.

I have to agree with CB, for one about violence (knowing his past, yes, i've even done violent shit), but the violence that Tyler promotes is out of this world, with no purpose other than wanting attention.

and if you like music, you can't hate on Beautiful People. If you can, you sure as hell can't on the idea and beat.

I prefer good content over them.

Twitter beefs never last more than an hour though, it's all publicity stunts. I remember Rihanna promoting the "dropped from the record label" Ciara's....when they subliminal'd each other for a bit BC nobody cared for Ciara no more. Then the trending topic Rhianna vs Ciara.

That shit worked bc i forgot about Ciara and looked at her youtube video, but i didn't like it....mainly cuz others were.

Chris Brown complimented FO. You don't have to truly fuck with Odd Future, if you fuck with Frank, and i know A LOT of people like that. In fact, my co-worker is booking him this summer, and NOT the rest of Odd Future...actually just about Everyone in the DefJam is upping that dude's music. Mainly Joe Budden....he was talking about him almost everyday last month....but rarely do i see tyler mentioned by anyone famous. Just regular people jumping on Yonkers for the B.o.B. and Bruno Mars lyrics...and like 2 other songs.

No. He didn't say "violent music". That could apply to any number of people. When you say "demonic" and "devil worshipper" and idiotic phrases like that, the ONLY people he could be talking about is OF, because they use 666 and upside down cross imagery. Which they do PURELY to piss off conservative religious people, so Chris is a dumb ass for falling for it. and Tyler never even replied originally, Hodgy did.

LOL, CB ain't the closest to dancing like MJ, nowhere near. Kids on my corner dance better than him, and anyone can straight up learn a few routines and bust 'em. I can pull out the "Bad" routine on cue tighter than his moves, cos I've been doing it since I was 3 years old. But I don't need to straight up imitate my idols to make an impact.

And "Beautiful People" is dope. But not because of Chris. Because of the producer - Benny Benassi. He's one of my favorite producers and has been for a long time. Truth is, that beat could have gone to anyone - whoever was willing to pay the most for it. I have Benny's new album and most of the beats on there are even better than "Beautiful People".

Yes, I understand that Chris original tweet about Frank was a compliment, BUT Frank responded the way he did because he knows that Chris has been throwing subliminal shots at his crew for weeks. Of course Frank exists outside of OF, but that's still his crew, that's still his boys.

You don't have to fuck with Odd Future to fuck with Frank, no. But don't think you can show love to Frank when you've been badmouthing OF. That's like saying "Yo, fuck Wu Tang, but Meth is dope".

He said music though, not rap...he stated he wasn't talking about Rihanna....that's how general his statement was....then he got into more detail with his 140 chars limit....but that's why Hodgy mentioned Metallica, as a joke, before he got into details....then he @'d him LATER, much later after CB was still speaking in general.

in the industry, CB is closest to dancing like MJ.... Sisqo, Usher, Omarion, Justin Timberlake...don't have shit on him.

i'm not going to argue with you on that benassi stuff, i mentioned it, bc i just dont see how anyone can hate on that song or CB's "Forever" those are awesome.

i dunno, if i was Frank i would have said "thanks, but maybe you could big up my whole crew, they help me do my music" or something, u know? he didn't have to be an ass when he wasn't an ass to him.

Frank seems to be very mature and understanding, by the thoughts in his lyrics, so that's why i was shocked at that.

In reality, CB said what most of he people that know of FO and his boys. He said the truth.

Nobody is saying Meth is dope and the rest of wutang isn't, but most of Odd Future, ppl are saying so.

FO >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Odd Future.

FO has the ability to prob be a legendary artist.

This whole thing had an opposite effect on me. It made me want to listen to Beautiful People for the first time.
Ditto. And I wasn't overly impressed. It's alright.

I think Chris Brown should back up a bit. Music is expression. What is this bullshit about it should be happy?

Give me Kurt Cobain over Chris Brown any day of the week. Misery is expression. The more feelings a song creates the more powerful the music.

Chris Brown makes paint by numbers regurgitated music. No offence to him, I don't dislike him. I have no feelings of hate towards guys that hit girls, as long as they don't hit my girls. It's not my business. But as an artists he isn't exactly talented. He has a nice voice. But so do 100 of thousands of people. That's the easy bit. Writing songs and music is the hard part. Chris doesn't do that.

I am not an Odd Future fan, but I can see talent, and they have it. Creating new sounding music. I can hear expression and creativity in their music. Chris Brown sounds manufactured.

Although I think it's harsh to compare Michael Jackson to Chris Brown. MJ was a one off, a pioneer. People like Chris and JT and Usher are fans. They aren't biting they are simply influenced by MJ as is most of pop music.

Chris is simply a talent following label and publicist orders. If he hadn't gotten more followers, he would have had his tweeting rights revoked probably.

i would get mad if i was signed to a label and they said i couldn't tweet. wtf. lol... SOFI i agree with him sounding manufactured, but there are some songs and dances that don't seem like that at all. I think he just has 2 different styles. I mean, the dude was trying to be a rapper, but turned singer bc he wasn't good at it, just had marketablilty.

@Pitt, i got to agree, it's not all about being happy. he makes music to be sad too...but does fail on using curse words that emphasis on emotion...but after the thing with Rihanna, it's going to take another album before he can say some curse worded songs/ somewhat violent stuff.... and who writes his stuff? i saw on twitter him saying that he wrote his ass off for the new album.

anyway,

i'm not trying to seem like a CB groupie or a Religious groupie, but if i didn't go against ya'll, i wouldn't have much to read. lol

If I beat Rihanna up I would be writing many songs about rage. That's obviously how he feels. The reason he hasn't? I would guess record labels. They all want to play safe. It's boring and the music business is stuttering.

I want him to write a song about what a nagging bitch she is and how she laid hands on him so he gave her a slap. It wasn't domestic violence it was equality for the female species. Now that would cause a buzz...... And get him alienated. But it would be interesting.

He's not a rapper though. Record labels would feed off of that, if it was someone like Eminem. but it's not.
It's the 16 yr old kid that made "Yo" lol

and no, pittsey, all his albums have one song that features rappers n he kind of raps too.
I have to be honest. Until this thread it was the only song I'd ever heard of his. Besides the Juelz Santana one. So all in all I have heard 3 of his songs.

Although my comment was tongue in cheek. I wouldn't consider "look at me now" rap.... Probably wouldn't consider it musical.

It never appealed to me either. Yo was okay.

My ex fiance got me on that shit tho. she kept playing forever and a bunch of other songs that i got into him, and reluctantly bought his album, and it wasn't bad.

This new album didn't appeal to me, even tho i rap the shit out of Look AT Me Now. Busta goooeees. and the new song "Beautiful People" is nice too, but i didn't like his first single yeah 3x, that much so i didn't bother

and Casey, why don't you try working with them? You seem to be a pretty big fan. I seen you update about them a lot.
