11/12 Premier League thread

As for Kenny getting the 3 year contract, im delighted ofc. was over the moon when he came back in January and thats not judt because of who he is and his status in Liverpool but because he has proven himself to be a really good manager. He won numerous trophies last time he was liverpool manager and ofc winnng the league with Blackburn and i think if he didnt leave Liverpool when he did then we would not have fallen like we did. I dont blame him for that though. He suffered alot after Hillsborough and it eventually took its toll on him. When you think back to where Liverpool were when he left, they were a team in decline that needed rebuilding. Kenny was the man to do that but instead Souness came him and made a total fuck up of almost everything. I know you cant say this for sure, but if Kenny stayed on at liverpool, i think ALan Shearer and Roy Keane would have been Liverpool players. But anyway thats all ifs and buts. He is back now. People say he was out of the game too long but i dont think you lose that ability as a football manager. He has a great way about him, good knowledge of the game, good man manager in the sense that he will make players feel like they are the best in the world but also wont be afraid to give them a kick up the arse when needed and he has also shown that he has a good eye for a player. Also, it never was the same as Keegan going back to Newcastle imo. I think Kenny is a much better manager than Keegan.

Anyway, its great he is our manager. i wouldnt have wanted anyone else but im not getting carried away. The aim next season should be to get back into the champions league. The first step is this summer and signing quality players. If we could manager to bring in one or two players of Suarez's level but in different positions then i think that would be definitely achievable next season.

actually i think if we managed to get 2 more like him we would be challenging for the title lol. but obviously thats easier said than done.

and i think Liverpool would want to be in the Europa League next season. I think its very useful for giving the younger players game time.

I think challanging for the title will be difficult, seeing as Man City/Chelsea will spend heavily before the new rules come into place, Man Utd and Arsenal will be up there as usual also. I can't see who will fall out of the top 4 right now.

^^yea i know but what i mean is if you did manage to sign 2 players of that quality then i think they would. You see the impact Suarez has made. he is pure class. Class makes a huge difference. But as i said signing players of that level is easier said than done especially with the likes of City in for them as well. Our best bet is youth imo. Young players with potential like Canales and that lad for Athletic Bilbao is what we should be looking at. If we did manage to get back into the champions league next season, i would be delighted.

Munian? I do think Liverpool will be a better team but it will be a tough task for Kenny. Man City will pretty much spend £200m and Chelsea will probably have an overhaul.

Chelsea couldn't beat Newcastle today, even though Newcastle had two Ameobi's on the pitch. Shocking.

this is the best england has to offer as a referee?

this bald useless bent cunt who absolutely destroyed the world cup final

we really need to lodge a complant against this guy. stop him refereeing out matched.

That was exciting. West Ham are down. I want to see that plane that flew over the pitch which said "Avram Grant - Millwall Legend" Was Pittsey flying it?

oh well. at least that defeat might serve to curb the deluded predictions of some fans for next season, a lot of work has to be done.
Andy Carroll in particular has a lot of work to do. I think the Europa League was important for us though but at least there wont be any trips to eastern Europe on a thursday night to worry about. I just think it would have been good to use it for giving the young players some game time.

I just hope Wigan dont worm their way out of it. useless club. they pick and choose the games they put an effort into

lol

If you know the right people... ;)

Gonna be messy next season. I don't like it when West Ham and Millwall are in the same league. I like it even less when Millwall, Cardiff, Portsmouth, Leeds and West Ham are in the same league. Don't get me wrong, I love rivalry, but most of these guys take it too far.

needed fulham to get that third goal but it didnt happen dammit. blues could have been 18th on goal difference today. i just hope spurs beat them next weekend, worse off than blackpool to united (if blackpool also lose).

villa couldnt keep a single clean sheet away from home this season. appalling. not too long ago, we had one of the best away records in the league. just shows that if clean sheets were kept villa wouldnt be battling relegation for most of the season. arsenal were poor today. funne was lucky not to concede a penalty. and michael bradley is a waste of space.

who's coming up from the championship then? just so long as its not swansea i dont mind...

I would like Swansea up. Or Reading as they are local-ish to me.

Got my fingers crossed that Fergie puts out a shit team and Blackpool win. My uncle is from Blackpool and a big fan. Goes a lot and he lives in London.

^^^I love you.

I watched West Ham - Wigan in a local pub here in London... was hard to see all the West Ham fans cry... I bought a scarf for the occasion. The only London club I don't have a scar of now is Spurs (I even have QPR lol).

I watched Forest-Swansea...0-0 against a ten men Swansea...God damn it, missed an opportunity there... If it's not Forest, I'd like to see a Welsh club in the Premier league...
