I only started listening to these guys a couple of months back, which is pretty dumb as they been on the go since the eighties. Since i started listening i have bought all their material, and i think they are top notch. I love their dark sound. I cant stop listening to them. I also just got Mad seasons album "Above" aswell which is 1st class. I like Nirvana and Pearl jam but they dont touch me like AIC do. Anybody else like them?

Yeah I like them. Not a fan of Nirvana though. Nirvana became to popular and played out for me. Can't enjoy them because of their over popularity over the whole Kurt Cobain thing.

I love the whole grunge scene. Alice in Chains were great, with Layne. It's not the same without him.

For me I like Nirvana just a bit more though.

I haven't enjoyed anything Peal Jam have done in a while, but their 90's stuff was great.

I've really like what I've heard (Dirt, Jar of Flies and Unplugged). First song I heard was "Them Bones" in a Street Fighter anime (which was a great watch). Favourite song would be "Nutshell".

Have you by any chance checked out their newer stuff? Apparently their new vocalist sounds a lot like Layne Staley.

Most (not not all) music that came out in the 90's was pretty good. I miss the 90's music. It'lll never be the same again! The crap out these days is all computerized pop tart music :(

Yeah i have just bought "Black gives way to blue" and the guy does sound good, but Laynes voice for me is a one off.

It's weird to me how some bands just seem to connect with you. I do like Nirvana, but i have listened to other Grunge bands like Soundgarden, Screaming trees, Mother lovebone, Pearl jam but they just dont click to me like AIC. I guess they are just my thing.

This is going a bit off topic, but if you like Alice in Chains you should check out my cousin's other band - Fell On Deaf Ears.... the vocalist, Josh, is very much inspired by AiC.... have a listen to "Disappear" - Fell On Deaf Ears | Facebook

I love Alice in Chains. No doubt they were one of the best bands in the 90's but they aren't the same without Layne. They should have never come back under the name Alice in Chains, imo. They should've came out as a new band.

I'd be hard pressed to pick a favourite song. Right now I'm really feeling I stay Away.
