I am so looking forward to this movie. It's getting excellent reviews. It's coming out tomorrow. What do y'all think?

Wouldn't waste a buck on it. No matter how good it is. Here's an ironic thing - the main actor, I forget his name, doesn't even use Facebook or care about it lol

^It's David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin you motherfucker. It's blasphemy to not see this movie. I don't care much for Zuckerberg or the origins of Facebook for that matter, but I care about a movie well-written and a movie well-directed, and you get both...you motherfucker.

Fincher - Seven, Zodiac, Fight Club

Sorkin - The West Wing

Yes, I will see this movie.

I'll see it if I get the time. Anything Aaron Sorkin does deserves a look-see. Fincher is great too, the only director I can think of to successfully adapt F. Scott Fitzgerald to the screen.

Yes, I will see this movie.

Didn't like the West Wing, and just because it's Fincher it doesn't mean that it will be awesome.

Panic Room - Sucked
Benjamin Button - Overrated

Not that it takes away from his talent. I will more than likely download the movie, but I wouldn't pay to see it.

Finally, I am not a mother fucker. I am a gentleman.

I don't really give a fuck about Sorkin or Fincher, but.... TRENT MOTHERFUCKING REZNOR did the soundtrack, and therefore I WILL see this movie.

Trent is a fucking genius. In my eyes, there's no valid reason for not being a Nine Inch Nails fan. So, I will support anything Trent works on.

Didn't know that about mr reznor, you have to see it just for that pretty much. We'll probably get to see some naked chicks in the movie and a lot of entourage style scenes. The FB guy seems like a douche. I'll dl it then post my review on facebook

^Nope, none of that haha.

I saw it last night. My impressions:

1. You definitely notice Reznor's work. Not in the sense that you might know his music but it's very noticeable and uniquely placed in some scenes. It gives the film a very thriller-like feeling.
2. It's not always in chronological order (goes back and forth) and you don't always know at which point in time the film is so you have to pay attention.
3. After the film is over, you get a sense that not a lot happened in the film. It's kind of weird. I was surprised when the film ended, I was like "this is it?".
4. If you've been a Facebook member for a long time, it's really interesting to watch because you feel that you were a small part of this history. It has grown substantially since I joined. I joined in early '06 when it was still just for college students. Shit, I remember that one poster from Chicago who had the "official chicago thread" at tupacboard making a thread once about it and I had no idea what it was. I couldn't sign up because I had not gotten my university e-mail addy yet. And I remember when it opened up to everyone else and my myspace friends with no college addy's started joining and adding me and I felt annoyed by this. I wanted Facebook to be just for my interaction with students at my university. I didn't want the two worlds to meet. I didn't want the guy from my high school who used to sell me weed from time to time post on my wall and see who I'm interacting with. Obviously, the feeling changed but it's interesting where it was then and where it is now.
5. There's one scene in the movie that PISSED ME THE FUCK OFF. I don't know whether to blame Sorkin, Fincher, or the guy who wrote the book that the film is based upon. There's one particular scene where a lawyer (Rashida Jones, I used to like you, but eat a dick now) asks Mark what he's doing on his laptop and he responds "Just seeing what's going on in Bosnia". She responds, "they don't have roads in Bosnia I doubt they have Facebook", or something along those lines, and that pissed me the fuck off lol. For one, he wasn't checking Facebook and no one in Bosnia had Facebook in '04. But, we have roads, you cock sucking whore.

^of course, but hate has no logic. so leave me be, before I get a couple of blokes from England to happy slap you.

I went to see it yesterday night. I liked it. It was a well-written well-directed movie. I liked the actors' acting game (hell, even Justin Timberlake was decent and I saw him in Alpha Dogs he was TERRIBLE). And the soundtrack was great too.

As SOFI pointed out, when the movie ends you realize not much has happened lol. But it's still a captivating movie.

Ps I think she says "They don't have roads in Bosnia but they have facebook".

I thought Timberlake was good in Alpha Dog, but whatever.

Saw the movie, it was ok. Don't see why critics are giving it so much hype, seems they are in love with the idea of the story I guess. From the previews I thought it would be way more party glitz and glamor type shit but it really wasnt. I left feeling kind of meh'd, lol

Finally saw the movie yesterday. I liked it. I might check out the book. I have a hard time believing that Zuck is that much of a douche in real life, but I guess he could be lol.

^I read a blog post by Aaron Sorkin and he said most of the shit, especially from the beginning with him making fun of the girl after the date goes wrong, is straight up from the blog that Zuck used to maintain.

I wouldn't be surprised that he was so obsessed with himself and his "project" that he was a douche to everyone.

I saw it tonight, and thought it was excellent. It wouldn't surprise me if he's a douche like that in real life. I myself am guilty of thinking of others are below me when I don't feel they are as smart, and I know many people who are the same. It doesn't take much imagination to see how being worht 25$ billion and being that smart would make someone that way

For the record, Alpha dog is great movie and timberlake was awesome in it.
