No I agree. But as it can't be proved it's a mute point. Therefore all this argument about gays being gay from birth or not is bullshit. Because heterosexuals maybe aren't hetrosexual from birth. And it has no affect on gay rights. So Casey and Edouble are arguing over nothing.
The argument should be over whether homosexuals deserve the same rights. Most here would agree that they do. Does Edouble?

Not so much that a person "chooses" but that the person is "nurtured in", as you previously stated. I'm just saying, I don't know, I haven't read convincing work regarding it but it does irk me that Casey is passing it off as universal fact.
I absolutely agree with SOFI and Pittsey that it doesn't matter either way. Rights are rights and everyone should have them until they commit a serious crime abusing those rights where taking them away is an effective punishment.
My point about being born with sexuality is more to do with the position that sexuality is no different to race (ie something you are born with).
And for the record, I read very convincing evidence on this in New Scientist magazine recently. It might not be 100% definitive proof at this point, so I retract my earlier statement on that. But it might as well be. It's like, I don't need definitive proof that there isn't a god in order to hold the view that there definitely is no god. Which is the view I hold, because all the available evidence supports that theory.

Alot of people assume Atheists just think "oh there is no god" for no reason, but normally, they turn to a godless life because they have all ready searched for the answers they wanted and failed to find them through religion.
