The end of season 4 was a big omgwtf. It even surpassed Lost for me :p When people haven't seen it, I get excited by the thought they will, it was that good imo.

I fell asleep halfway through....

But I found the whole episode rather sad. I think i may have even, very nearly, had a tear in my eye.

In my opinion, it didn't live up to the hype in my head, but I'm please with the direction its moving towards. I also felt like it was condensed a little too much and should've been a 2 hour season opener.

Wtf happened to the person he killed in broad daylight? And that persons boat and etc? Where's Trinity?
The scene with the kids could've been longer..

Where's Trinity? He's dead.

Anyway, I understand where you're coming from. It seems that the Season 4 finale was such a shocker that this Season 5 should have been longer for us to soak all the emotions in from the different characters. The reason the scene with the kids wasn't longer, or for that matter, any scene with Dexter and the characters is because Dexter is so emotionally absent. He had nothing to say up until the very end and even then it sounded half-assed even though he was being sincere. The episode served to show that Dexter is still very much a sociopath. Even though he was learning to interact better with his family and co-workers, he still can't empathize.

I watch it when it leaks online. Since I'm on PST, I can usually DL it before it even airs on SHO because it airs earlier on the east coast.
