The Holocaust is pretty much taught as only being a genocide against Jews as if it was Germany vs. The Jews and that was what WW2 was about.
In books or discussions of the Holocaust, focus is on the Jews because that's what genocide against Europe's jews during the war has come to be called, the Holocaust. Meanwhile, books or discussions about the Second World War are about everything that happened and everyone affected. The Holocaust is a specific subject: genocide of the Jews. It's not about who did the Nazis kill. Why, because no other group affected was targeted for total destruction like the Jews were. There are books about the Gypsy killings and the disabled and the Russians, Poles, gays, etc. And comprehensive histories go into it all. So i don't know why you say it isn't discussed.
Stone- "Hitler did far more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people, 25 or 30 [million killed]."
Did he target the Russians because they were Russians or was he fighting a war against them and wanted their country?
If 28 members of a 30-member family is killed by a madman, but he goes on to kill 100 other random people, is not the 28 killed from one family a special tragic case that goes beyond just numbers? Especially if he specifically targeted that family because they were something he hated, such as Jewish, while the other hundred were mostly law enforcement trying to stop him or those who had something he wanted or were seen as useless. Plus, this wasn’t the first time this family has been targeted by others; it’s happened all through history. You think that might be a special problem that goes beyond how many others were killed?
And the Jews don't think Hitler was responsible for it. They think anti-Semitism was, which is why they wanted a state of their own, even after Hitler and his followers were gone. So i don't know who's using Hitler as a scapegoat.
