Ice Cube Unleashes Diss Track Aimed At Kanye West, Lil Wayne & The New West

Ice Cube is gearing up to release his new album 'I Am The West' on July 13 and he's coming straight at your favorite rapper's heads!

He unleashed two new tracks at the Paid Dues Festival in San Bernardino, California Friday (April 3), Don Mega performed his brand new single "I Rep That West". In it he disses Lil Wayne.

Then he got serious on another new track titled "Drink The Kool Aid". Cube goes at Kanye West, Lil Wayne (again) and The New West. "I heard there's a New West Coast, I aint heard it!"

Speaking to fans, Cube explained why it is not wise to attack with West Coast rap veterans.

"There's been a gang of motherf*ckers talking sh*t about your boy Ice Cube" he told fans at a Paid Dues concert. "I love it though -- I got a message to the new emcees in the house right now...You can't diss Dr. Dre. You can't diss Eazy-E. You can't diss Ice-T. You can't diss King Tee. No, you cannot diss Ice Cube. No, I ain't going for it. And any of you young motherf*ckers that do want to diss, I got one thing to say before you do it. You better check yourself before you wreck yourself."

As for the song, it's alright. The thing that i really dont get is that Cube reps the west so god damn much yet in his last album he barely had 2 west coast sounding beats. Come on Cube bring the west back both lyrically and production wise too!

okay i understand why he's dissing those rappers. but the new west also includes young maylay who is signed to cube's lench mob records. (confusion).

unless he is dissing the majority of them. maylay has skills and i seriously wanna see him appear on a cube project, preferably along with wc on a song. cube, wc, maylay and king t would be tight, with production coming from crazy toones.

sounds like he goes hard on this. i think he's releasing his album on the same date as mack 10.

also, i dont see why he would diss eminem. but i think if eminem is mentioned, its more of the state his music is in (conmpared to his best) which is what cube is referring to (like the state of hip-hop as a whole).

I've listened to most of his albums but I'm just not feelin him. 'It was a good day' was a classic but in general Cube just doesn't appeal to me.

"This aint no dead rappers reincarnation"......Seems to me that the only rapper Ice Cube is really disrespecting here is 2pac. As for the rest, he is just saying he isnt like the others, he is not them. With 2pac the disrespect comes from the fact that Cube only refers to him as being a dead rapper with the emphasis on being DEAD, and for 15 years I might add. What's the point other then being disrespectful? Ps Hot song and Ice Cube shit?
