She might not have the prettiest face, but her persona has her up there. This video is great.

The only thing wrong with it is that it's like an advertisement with all the endorsements.

Since when was she about that? I don't really get it...but knowing her, all the $ she's getting from all that exposure is going to go toward her music and concerts.

I'll go out on a limb and say she is easily the best artist of this decade.

Oh yah, back to the video, Tyrese cant act, and Beyonce did a terrible job, imo. But she did a good job in the song though.

I don't like Beyonce in the song. She brings that ghetto hoochi attitude to the song which just feels weird. Tyrese is ass, indeed. I would agree that she's one of the top artists... best? I dunno about that, we'll see in a few albums. I'll say at the moment she's probably the most likely to take the torch from Madonna someday.

I don't find her face too bad to be honest, she's got nice eyes. Yeah, she's got a bigger nose, but so do I lol. So, I'm not intimidated by that lol.

I just heard that Alejandro track. It's quite good, and I'm not saying that cause I like the Ace of Base tribute beat to it, but it's a well written and produced track - leaves the meaning of the lyrics quite open for discussion.

As far as product placement, how many high-budget 10 minute short-films/music videos have you seen lately? No label wants to pay for that. So, why not have it financed in exchange for...whatever is in the video.

The video is great, I could do without Beyonce though (Britney was originally asked to be on Telephone but she turned it down).

Definitely one of the most interesting pop artists of the decade and I hope I'll get to do a song with her one day. We were actually already approached by her label about a year ago to do an official remix for "Eh, Eh", but for various reasons it was never completed, although we did receive the multitracks for the song which was nice, and we did start doing the remix. That line of communication is still open with her people though, so we'll see what happens.

And SOFI's right about the endorsements. Labels NEVER want to finance these kind of things. Did you guys know that Epic Records didn't finance the 'Thriller' video? They told Michael that the album was done, as it had been over a year since it came out, and there had already been two videos - (Billie Jean and Beat It).

So what Michael did - and it was a genius move - he financed the video himself, filmed the whole process of making the video, did a deal with a VHS distributor, and released "The Making of Thriller" on VHS which sold millions, basically creating the home video market. Then, he charged MTV a shitload for the premiere rights. Boom.

She's a workaholic no doubt, but then again ... Look at all the greats like MJ, Madonna, Prince, etc ... Once they started working, they never stopped. Only after they started aging they decided to take it slow. I guess you can argue that you don't make it into the history books by taking your time and standing on the sidelines.
