Anyone else heard her album?

not too sure about her history and rise to fame though i know she rose to fame through singing on youtube and got signed by justin timberlake. (at least i think he signed her up).

JT produced the majority of her debut album "outta here" and i gotta say im impressed. the production is very good and the vocals are very good too. she sys it was pretty easy because when she was in the studio JT never had any strict rules or a set order, he just let her come up with a tune and he just produced a beat accordingly to her tune.

album is good but on another note, how cute is she?!! very very pretty!!

i just wished they played her songs over here in england more often.

She is cute! I used to watch her videos on youtube and Justin Bieber...theyre both good singers and cute but they dont really have the star appeal to me. Hope they prove me wrong though.

how do you mean you were looking for her? did you forget the name? i thank my shazam app and my timing of putting it onto the music channel that was playing the song "outta here". i just thought that it was very catchy and she was beautiful, so i recorded it and saved it as a tag. downloaded the single later then researched her on wiki and realised she had an album. downloaded the album after a few weeks, and im so glad i did. im looking forward to more music from her, even remixes so long as they're good and not out of tune/sync ones on youtube.

never heard of justin bieber. and didnt know about esmee until not too long ago (about 2-3 months ago) because i hardly ever use youtube. i just wished i followed her on there from the start so i could see her rise to fame from just singing cover songs. i shall check it out when im free. im definately following her on twitter and facebook though.

she is too cute, reminds me of a cute little kitten. so awwwwwwww. my favourite new singer.

so she's been on youtube for quite a while then.

i need to check those covers out, though im not so keen on covers and prefer orignal songs.

i downloaded the bonus track i was missing, "eyes for you". then i also got a bunch of remixes to her songs. dont know if they're any good because the sound isnt working on this computer at uni. there's a bunch of them on youtube.

I remember when she was getting big on youtube before she was signed. She is cute, but I hate Timberlake enough to not be interested in anything he is involved with.

He's not ACTUALLY producing it himself. He's paying people to and taking the credit. I doubt he can play a single chord.

not so much whole songs, maybe co-produced or some level of input. i dont know if people can buy production credits and enlist themselves as the producers of such material.

either way, its music that i was pleased with. i couldnt get hold of the bonus track and so i got it off youtube. terrible quality. sounds like 56kbps.

of course they can. and they do. It's called ghost-producing. Many of the hit songs from 1998-2000 released on Bad Boy were produced by Kanye, but D-Dot took the credit for them because he was the "name".

Jeff and Mark Bass produce almost everything that Eminem is credited as a producer for.

I doubt Timberfake even knows how to use a drum machine.

it makes sense, ive never actually thought about ghost-producing whereas ive thought about ghost-writing and people who pay others to write for them.

it doesnt make sense to say something is produced by 'y' when 'x' produced the song, but 'x' sold their rights and ownership of the material to 'y'.

i knew a bit about the mark and jeff bass thing. didnt know they still worked with eminem and they were suing interscope a year ago. they still have ownership to around 20 eminem songs i think.

this shows that the true geniuses behind the successes of music never get the recognition they deserve but it was a decision they made to take money over recognition. and its debatable.

some people have signature sounds, dj premier and timbaland come to mind. many people say that timbaland steals samples etc... makes you wonder...

many people take things at face value and for granted, not realising the truth behind it all. one thing ive noticed and liked about you casey is that you are wise to many things, especially those of which the decision lies in our hands and you always justify your argument hence why its a good read.

on another note, maaaaaann... esmee denters. why cant i find her on the music channels? they should player her more often and her new single "admit it".
my brother was flicking the channels and it was on when he was hogging the remote (bad timing), but i never even bothered telling him to leave it on, its too pop-ish for him. all he listens to is 2pac, eminem, snoop, dre, nwa, biggie, the game, wc, ice cube, d12, 50 cent, busta rhymes, ludacris, xzibit, nas, and a bit of reggae and bhangra. nothing else.

esmée any time, any day... :)

Premier is a producer, but not a musician. All his beats are sample based, but he's easily one of the best at mashing up different stuff to create his beats.

Timbo is a producer and somewhat of a musician, but for the last 3 years or so, he's had an assorted team of real musicians and producers, who do a lot of the work and he oversees it, shapes it and puts his name to it. Some of these people include Danja, Jim Beanz (a friend of mine), Boss Beats, Sha....there's a few more too.

thanks for the compliment btw.

only one of those ive heard of is danja.

backing vocals is another one, people wont credit the vocals of other artists. tiffany villarreal did some vocals for flo-rida's "in the ayer" i think it was. (hate flo-roda songs - they all sound the same). she never got any credit. they must have done the same thing.

You've heard of Danja because he broke off from Timbo's camp and started doing his own thing and getting his name out there.

While he was in Timbo's camp, people didn't really know who he was, but he was doing most of the work that Tim was taking credit for.
