Annoyingly written considering sometimes they refer to him as Max B and sometimes by his government name. But very very interesting.

Seems to me like Max got fucked over by not having his case split.

There's nothing more American than allowing a richer entity to wholly profit from a poorer one's production.

Usually there's a time limit involved but of course this was a shady street deal.

My cousins had a publishing deal with Warners in the mid 90's. Warners controlled all of their publishing for 5 years or so....and gave them a FATTTT amount of cash for the privelege.
