He's coming to town on the 13th of sept (omg its the anniversary of Tupacs death!!11!) and I'm going to see him. I'm gonna admit I'm not that big a fan (i've always thought he was weird), I'm only going b/c the girl i'm seeing is a die hard fan. She's given me a bunch of his work though and I gotta say I'm impressed. I actually can't stop listening to The Dope Show and Coma White.
Anyways I'm kinda wondering what to expect. I'm looking at you Casey.
You're in for a treat, he's a great performer. Really puts everything into his live shows and the band is tight. He likes to rile up the crowd a lot and 'shock' the crowd by burning bibles and things like that. Always great to watch, he always puts the crowd into a frenzy.
A lot of people do miss out on the fact that he has made a lot of great music because they can't get past his persona/appearance.
Those two songs that you mentioned are classics.
I imagine the show will mostly feature songs from the new album, in which case it'll be really good as I really dig it. Have a listen to the songs "Arma-god-damn-motherfucking-geddon" and "Leave A Scar", those are the best two songs on the new album IMO. It'll be heavy, he has a dedicated fanbase so the crowd will likely be singing along to the majority of the songs.
My favorite MM album would be "Mechanical Animals", so have a listen to that, see if your friend will burn it for you.
Have a great time and let me know how it goes!
