Technology Your top 5 Android Apps

Advanced task killer (my favorite app killer)

ChompSMS (imo the best texting app, I prefer it over Handcent)

Astro (my favorite file browser with interesting built in tools like unrar/unzip)

Gentle Alarm (just a better alarm with a lot of options. It ended my hard times waking up)

Barcode scanner
(scans links and other info coded in barcodes. Scan any product in any shop and check if it's not much cheaper elsewhere. It's also a fast way to "copy" links from your PC to your phone. On your PC just create a barcode of any link to any website on a site like this:
http://qrcode.kaywa.com/
and scan it with your phone to visit it.)

Also:

Quick Uninstaller and APNdroid are good contenders for that list.

Places Directory is essential
Quickpedia is very useful
NewsRob is useful to pull all the RSS feeds to one place (Google Reader account required)
Linda Manger is essential when wanting to browse files on your phone.
GDocs when wanting to make quick notes, or documents, lists or whatever.

Those are the 5 perhaps most useful to me although i use social networking, and games more often.

other useful ones (not default apps that came with the phone) are google shopper, shopsavvy, dictionary.com, food finder, howcast, mybackup, shazam, any news/weather one, sportstap, soccer live scores,
