Well technically Unconditional Love was Pac's song. I believe that originally he was wrote lyrics for Unconditional Love which was intended to be rapped by Hammer on Hammer's album on Death Row (much like how Pac wrote lyrics for him as shown in the Resurrection book), but I guess Pac recorded it himself anyway.

Pac told Napo that Pac's UCBT verse was written for Napolean, because it resembled Napo's life or something. So Napo re-recorded it, leaving Pac on the hook.

In my opinion, that's bullshit. Why else would Napo have a totally different verse on the OG? Napo just wanted to rape another song and got away with it (again).

Unconditional Love was written & performed by Pac for MC Hammer. Hammer re-recorded it for his DR-album, which never got released. So yes, the Pac version we all know and love, was probably never gonna come out.

that whole story about pac writing the song for hammer was put out there by guess who? hammer. i think at the end of the day hammer did a cover of one of 2pac's softer songs (because hammer found god and doesn't say naughty words anymore) and fronted it off like he was meant to have.

the song is about pac, plain and simple. hammer didn't endure the struggles the song speaks of, and the content pertaining to the mother figure is clearly afeni. likewise, if pac wrote the song for hammer, then i can't see an explanation for the profanity. the true original has an extended outro that was obviously left off of radio for good reason being that pac goes off cussing like a sailor. i just can't see this being for hammer at all...

Come on, man... Pac was a potty mouth. Also consider the fact that Pac's outros weren't usually written, and he would just keep talking as the instrumental kept running, and sure enough I'm sure Pac would drop a "fuck" here and a "nigga" there just because it flowed out of his mouth, even on soft songs. He even let a few cuss words slip out at his televised SNL performance, a couple of which got blanked out and a couple of which slipped past SNL's attention.
