The movie promo poster is on my wall now, now I can't wait to go and see this. A bigger cast this time around, including Vinne Jones as Juggernaut (Xavier's evil Brother). It's gonna be claw-swishingly awesome, though I am dissapointed that Gambit won't be gracing the screen.

Other Mutants making an appearence include:

Kesley Grammar - Beast
Ellen Page - Shadowcat
Ben Foster - Angel
Daniel Cudmore - Colossus
Vince Murdocco - Omege Red

... plus Loads more.

Full Cast/Crew: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0376994/fullcredits

I wonder how it will differ from the first two films, being that Brett Ratner is directing the Mutants this time around. Bryan Singer is doing Superman for later on this year.

i know i was pissed when i heard gambit wouldnt be in it. he should have been in the 2nd one.

i cant wait for this movie but i think its going to suck. it seems like they are rushing to put it out and from what i have read they have gone over budget and are running out of money

i think someone said it best when,

they decide to halt gambit cause they should wait till the wolverine flick comes out. Gambit will probaly overtake Wolverine as the fan favorite good guy

omega was dope though, wonder how'll he'll look in this version

When are they gonna bring in the damn Sentinels? They wouldve fitted so perfectly in X2, but nooooooo, they had a bunch of soliders rushing the X-Men out of their manison instead - how weak.

Perhaps someone can enlighten me:

Are these movies based on anything? Ie. the comics, for instance? Or are they just loose stories?

Not really an expert on whatever comic, so it might appear as a n00bish question.

The first two haven't been directly taken from comics, but they tend to draw elements from various stories. A lot of the characters, like Iceman, are very different in the films.

I see. Thanks for the info.

I saw the first one when it was in cinemas (a long-ass time ago). Perhaps I should rent out 1 & 2 and go see 3 in the cinema.

yeah. for example, iceman, who was one of the original x-men in the comics, is now a younger student of prof. x. beast and angel also were some of the first x-men, but they're just being introduced in the third one.

Doesn't that annoy you when you watch it?
I hate it when they flip and chop a story up.

There were many different versions/variations of the X-Men comics/characters.
