Ok, I've been thinkin bout this for a while now but the Ice T news article just made me make this thread. So if this thread bombs blame Ice T.

Now.

If you knew someone who had murdered, raped or committed a significant crime that effected someone else in a big way, would you snitch?
Not talking petty crime here.

He's a stop snitching hip-hop star so of course he wouldnt. lol. If I witness a murder I'm gonna let the detectives know who did it. The family deserves justice and closure. That's not snitching. That;s giving information. We are talking about murder here, no one should get away with that shit cause some nobody fake hip-hop artist told you it's wrong. Let one of their mothers, fathers, or brothers get killed and watch them BEG for people to come forward with information.

If I witnessed something I wasnt involved with and was questioned I would co-opperate.

If I witnessed a gang land killing or a biker gang shoot out, no I wouldnt because those type of people live by their own laws and will get their own justice.

If I has a suspicion that my neighbor was a killer; Id stay out of his way but I wouldnt tell simply because I cant be sure and it is none of my business. But like I said, if I saw him kill somebody then yeah I would.

Yeah it seems I didnt state the question quite like I wanted. But yeah the situation is, you've seen someone get killed know who did it.
I agree with you on the gangland stuff, thats their lifestyle. But in some situations it would be hard to know the difference, also I think if those people go free they might in the future kill an innocent bystander which could have been prevented. I really dont know though, I guess if/when I'm in that situation I'll be too shit scared to do or say anything.

It depends on the situation but I would most likely not snitch. I'm leaning towards what Rukas is saying but I'd probably make some exceptions in some cases.

Would I snitch? No. Because I deal with a situation myself, in my own way.

Would I co-operate with the police to solve a crime I didn't agree with. Most definately.

Talking to the police ISN'T snitching... And that is the problem with society, and the "street" rules. Most people don't understand this as the closest they get to the street is bumping 2pac in their in-car media center while driving their mercedes 1 month past it's service due date. Ghetto.

Snitching usually is to do with your own situation. When you call the police to help you. Not always, but usually. And if my house gets robbed, I need a crime number to claim on the insurance, you're a moron if you consider that snitching... lol

Look, snitching is telling the police something they didn't know to get someone in trouble for your own benefit, like a reduced sentance or getting a rival in trouble.

Murder? If it's between gangbangin thugs.. nope, not gonna say a word. It's none of my business and I won't make it mines. Otherwise, if its a civilian who's murdered... I might say something. But it still depends on how my sympathy is working. I'm not going to just go to the cops and get involved... unless it was a kid or an older person, for some reason they make you feel more sympathetic.

Raped? It depends. Again, I probably wouldn't say anything. That's a serious offense and depending on where, when and who it happened to it can be her or his fault. If it's some college keg party for instance, the drunk slut probably asked for it. But theres no way for me to know what happened between the two so I wouldn't say anything.

as for the topic, i agree with most people. if it's a situation where it's gang related, they have their own codes and ethics, and they have their own modes of justice so i'd stay out of it. but if i knew someone who had murdered or committed a serious crime, yeah i'd co-operate with police if i thought it was the right thing to do. and Cam'ron is a moron. i wonder what he would think if there really was a serial killer living next door to him, he didn't say anything about it, and that killed killed a member of his family. i bet he'd change his tune pretty fast.

If she's drunk and not amongst good company and not able to have a working knowledge or whats going on or be able to control herself and something bad happens to her. Yes, it's her fault. She should've had more common sense than to put herself in harms way.

Perhaps she wasn't asking for it but it would certainly make it seem as if she wanted the attention that her attire warranted. Every situation is going to be different. There's a time and place for everything. Perhaps leading a guy on, getting drunk whilst dressed like a slut, having sex, waking up the next day and then claiming rape because you don't remember what happens should not be considered rape. Just a dumb girl who hopefully will learn from her mistake. But again, this is situational.

Surely not, but they do want to get drunk, get horny, dress like sluts and then play dick tease. Or get drunk, get honry, dress like a slut, have sex, forget what happened and then scream rape due to their own poor decision making skills.

I wouldn't be in said situation because I don't drink, I carry myself as a lady so that I am treated like one and I dress accordingly. I hang with good company. I don't go out to bars and if I go to a club which is rarely, i'm with people I trust and I still won't drink. I don't play games or lead men on. I shouldn't have to worry about a faux rape situation.

However, if I was walking to my car from work and someone took me by force, then surely, that's rape and he should be punished accordingly. No, I wouldn't blame myself as it wouldn't be my fault.
