Emotions were insane and I didn't know why
I realized it when the snake bit my vein
Going straight to my heart, I've been living in vein

Since you've been gone
I realized I felt like my time was too expensive
But you made me feel pricless, so now i've been pensive

Please come back, today or tomorrow
for I will treat you like my treasure, beyond measure
I will fight through everything and not know sorrow

It may seem like i'm selfish
But we all have to lose to know how to win
Please come back, for life without you is a sin

You're my very gift in this world
and at the time, love wasn't a friend of mine
but the passion you bring, gives me my world

This love is a sweet misery
Procrastination soothes my pain
But I wont gain, so all that is history

Please let me move forward with my life
Give me a chance,
Love me and let me do right

It's been too long and I'm lost without you
I've been wanting you and needing you,
What else do I have to do?

You gave me everything, every day
But it means nothing, for we are not together
Let me prove that I am great

For, I've experienced everything with you in the name of love
got angry and wanted to see what else was
but i know nothing is out there, come back to me love

I will fight my desires and our future, I will defend
If not, my doors will collapse and come to an end
No, I won't settle for procrastination
I will search for more than satisfaction

...if you come back, give me some kind of sign
Tell me that you'll stay by my side

As it is i'm barely getting by

hehe, back when I was experimenting with and trying to convey two different metaphors into one.
I believe I failed. lol

I wish this forum got more attention. You don't deserve to have something you worked on ignored. I think your poem is weak, Shadows, but as usual you show glimpses of goodness. I want you to keep writing.

Every poem is a failure to its author.

I agree, it was something that was written long ago, and i figured if someone read it and shitted on it, i at least see somthing i might not have seen that they did.


I tried a new concept as a beginner, and it didn't work well.

I'm not into poetry as much anymore though. I write other stuff, but I will start up poetry again soon, as I did get better since then.

and I always thought my stuff sucked, until people on Facebook started to request me to write certain things.
