ive actually been an eminem fan for years, and i was one of the 2% of the board who (prior to LTTG being leaked) was supporting Eminem for this project, so you can get back to the real discussion and shut the fuck up about "my hatrid blinding me"
Dogg, we're both adults here, there' no need for vulgarity. I'm trying to have a civilized debate between 2 mature adults.
And if you were an Eminem supporter prior to LTTG, then I apologize for saying you let your hatred blind you. I apologize, I shouldn't have assumed.
Just because Eminem isn't the only one to fuck up a 2pac album doesnt mean its excusable. I think its been atleast 6 months since I made a positive comment about the Outlawz or Johnny J either.
Oh, I agree with you completely. It shouldn't excuse Em, but people should stop acting like Em is the first one to "fuck up" Pac's work.
If you are a person who has been down on the Lawz and Johnny, then that's cool. When I make the statements I make, usually I'm generalizing. I'm not usually pointing to one specific person. I can't follow every member of this board to know what their opinions are. But it sounds to me that save for a few aspects on this topic, you and I relatively agree on it.
2pac recording vocals for DK7 in 7 days is much different from producing. Pac had various producers who put in much time for the beats. all 2pac had to do was drop vocals over the beats, so his vocals automatically fit them. eminem wasnt rapping on this album, he was producing , atleast Johnny Js shitty beats on UTEOT and Better Dayz still fit the tempo for 2pacs vocals
Lemme ask you something. I did see the article where Eminem said he spent 3 days on it. But, does anyone recall if he was specific? What I'm getting at is that maybe it took him 3 days to lay Pac's vocals over the beats, not necessarily make the beats himself. Eminem wasn't very specific, so nobody is really sure what exactly took 3 days.
Knowing the process of creating the beat, I find it hard to believe that Em was able to construct 13 beats in 3 days. I'm guessing that a lot of those 3 days was probably mixing/arranging and such. Not necessarily constructing the beat.
However, I think the beats for songs like Soldier Like Me, The Uppercut, Ghetto Gospel, Out On Bail, Don't You Trust Me, Loyal To The Game and Who Do You Love are all pretty average beats. The only beat I can say I really despised was Thug 4 Life. That was just terrible.
