Yeah, but they'll beef posts over how to spell "honor." And yes, I spelled it without a "u." All you Englishman over there need to get off your high horses and realize that shit changes. If you're so anal about having your language changed, then why aren't you speaking like people of Shakespeare's day (i.e. "Thou art of...")? They didn't call it "Old English" then. It was just English, but it evolved into what it is today. And do you say, "What is this made of?" or, "Of what is this made?" The latter is grammatically correct. So stop bitching about a little "u." Yes, it was originally there, but both are correct, so stop insulting each other. There's no need for it.

There is no problem spelling the word without the 'u'. A problem arose when a certain poster decided to ignorantly mock me for spelling the word with the 'u', arrogantly unaware that this was the original spelling.

and my only role was that i thought the mock was funny. if i knew 'honour' was the original spelling then i wouldnt have laughed. its dictionary.com's fault :p

It has evolved, yes. But since we created it I think we have permission to change it.

i'd let him take what he has coming unless he is totally getting fucked up, but i wouldn't punch the other dude, id just try to break up the fight. if it was a fair fight and i decided to help my friend out, we'd both look like bitches and a week later we would end up fighting the same guy except it would be us two against the other guy and about 5 of his older cousins.

on topic, guys dont fight one on one anymore coz they want to seem hard and beat the shit out of the defensless kid

off topic, 'honor' is actually spelled 'honour' just like color is really spelled 'colour', but us americans dont spell it that way.
