It was originally just the first verse and it was made for a Mary J Blige song. Big and Keith Murray was on it. But Puff figured it Big's verse was too rough for the song and they scrapped it. But on Mary's album 'My Life' there's an interlude where you hear part of Keith Murray's verseSnakeWesker said:I heard that that song was actually supposed to be on a movie OST, and wasn't an actual diss to 2Pac. It sure sounds like it, though.

Because he felt like itDeeezNuuuts83 said:Puffy said they cut it because it was too hard, but why would Biggie write such a hard verse if he knew it was going to be for a Mary J. Blige project?
Mary J is as hood as they comeDeeezNuuuts83 said:Well even if Biggie felt like writing a hard verse for Mary J., that's kind of inconsiderate. Sure, artists can write whatever they want, but they have to fit the song. Pac would've been retarded if he wrote some "Hit 'Em Up" type lyrics when he recorded with Jon B. Bone Thugs would've been stupid if they wrote about guns and weed when recording with Mariah Carey. It doesn't make sense.
