^^ have you read DMX's autobiogrpahy?

Or any other Dan brown books? Like Angels and Demons etc?

Not yet. I got quite a lot of holidays coming up. Lots of time on the plane and on the beach. hope to read a few books then. So trying to get ideas of what to buy.

I am going to start reading one of the Dan Brown books tonight as my dad has then all and i finished the book i was reading last night, let you know what i think of it!

I'm not that into fiction.

I dont read a lot either. But i've recently picked up a copy of Voltaire with multiple small(er) stories.

Very interesting. Witty old weasel, that Voltaire :D. But despite being written centuries ago, it still "reads" fresh.

Books written by intelligent people. I don't really like story books. I like something that will expand my mind.

Like religious books, - Qu'ran, Bible, Scientology etc

Books like Da vinci Code.

And I'm into my biography / autobiographical books. I'm interested in people's lives.

If you like Biographys id recommend Richard Bransons "losing my virginity" .. Also the Howard Marks autobiography "MR.Nice" is a brilliant book.

Ive read all of Dan Browns books and I dont think they are particularly well written. Da Vinci code is very entertaining though.

The around Ireland with a fridge book is actually a true story which makes it very funny.

This confused me: explain or die.

I'm confused as to why you are confused.

I like reading about peoples lives.

Biography = account of a person's life written, composed, or produced by another.
autobiography = The biography of a person written by that person.

What were you confused about?

I read Lord Of The Flies at school, by William Golding, really enjoyed it! very strange though!

Lord of the Flies is a very pollitical book.

I would recomend Fahrenheir 451, very good book. Anything writen by Ray Bradbury is good.

EARL is very good too.

^ u won't be dissapointed. It's a bit slow to start off.
Here's a review i did for it a while ago.

And Pittsey from what you enjoy, i'm just going to recommend you "conversation with god". Don't read it with the viewpoint that it is blasphemy and that the person writing it is actually having a conversation with god. Read it with an open mind.

And lord of the flies was a brilliant book. We had to read it for highschool.
If you like shakespear read Midsummer nights dream (it's a comedy and hillarious), King lier, othello, Macbeth or hamlet. Great expectations by dickens is great as well. The Outsider by Albert Camus was very wierd but symbolic and deep.
Now I'm going to go read now. I have an exam in about 4 hours... but i feel like reading a book.

Read "Roots" by Alex Haley. Or read "The Informers" by Bret Easton Ellis, he wrote American Psycho.

hehe... i'm going to be the reviewer of the books people post which i've read
Roots was a great book, a great read and an eye opener. There was one point in that book which i gave up on man kind. I didn't like the last few chapters because it really did rush through it. And you never know what happened to the first character. I wanted to know what happened to the first character. Mind you, the reason you don't know is becuase the writer didn't know... all he knew was what he was told from his parents who told their granparents etc etc.

The informers was a great book. At times it jumped too much and it was too repetitive, but still it was a great book.

I read all the time especially at night before i go to sleep -
Im reading Donnie Brasco at the moment , its awsome , nothing like the film , much better , how the fuck he got that close to the mafia and not get caught !! I realy recommened it much better than all this Dan Brown hype , there very good books but overated imo .

Fight Club's a nice read as well...it's short u can read it in a night or 2...bit different to the film as well

for my ap english class, i have to read "The Fountainhead" over the summer. at first i was dreading the fact, because it is about 700 pages long and i really don't want to read when i could be outside. but once i start reading i lose track of time

I love to read, I'll read almost anything that I find, some of my favorite books are: Of Mice and Men, The Da Vinci Code, To kill a mocking bird, Monster, Malcom X: By any means necessary, Roots, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and a shitload more, right now, Im currently reading Angels & Demons, and am about to start on a book but i forgot what it was called. Anyways all the above are good books i would reccomend.

edit: Theres a book I want to read called "Paula" I read a chapter in a school book and it got me intrested, its about a writer called Isabell Allende whos daughter (Paula) is in a coma, so she goes and writes an autobioraphy in her memory in case she wakes up and forgets all her life and who she is. Its pretty sad.
