Who reads books?

recently I've been reading "My Life in Baseball" by Ty Cobb

baseball books and true crime books are the only books worth reading

High Society - Ben Elton .... :thumb: I could not put this book down. It was so engrossing. Great read :thumb:

Brave New World - Aldous Huxley ... another great novel. Good depiction of a futuristic dystopic world devoid of all natural elements

The Godfather - i loved this book

Vernon Godlittle - D.C Pierre .....a little unconventional [copious swearing and vulgarities]... but a good bildungsroman novel.

The Dead sea scrolls of deception, by Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh

Here's a small review of the book

An account of the reasons for the secrecy which surrounds the Dead Sea Scrolls which were discovered in 1947 and 1956, but hidden from the public. The authors claim that the contents of the scrolls disclose a new account of the origins of Christianity which the historians have tried to withhold from the rest of the world.

i just finished reading "Chopper - confessions from mark reid". australia's toughest crazed comical nutcase. its seriously the funniest craziest true book you'll ever read. iv read it about 5 times now and i never ususaly read a book more than once.

Dante Alighieri - La Divina Commedia (although I haven't read Paradiso yet)
George Orwell - 1984
Bram Stoker - Dracula
John Milton - Paradise Lost
F. Scott Fitzgerald - The Great Gatsby

All recommendable.

Has anybody read "Pride and Prejudice"? I just started reading it today, it seems good, but I want other peoples opinions because I'm currently reading 3 other books, and I want to see if this one is worth reading.

^The Prince is a mocking of everyhting Machiavelli believed and wrote. He didn't beleive ANYTHING he wrote in that book and the only reason he wrote it was so he could get out of exhile and be freed from house arrest.
