What's hilarious about you saying that, is that North Indians/Punjabis are often referred to as the "Irish" of India, because we're known as heavy drinkers and brawlers, plus our land of Punjab is divided into partitions, with one part in India and one part in Pakistan, not unlike the divide in Ireland.

It's interesting to note that the northern Indians play a significant role in the theories that fueled white supremacy and the Nazi's idea of the 'Aryan race'. Historically the early northern Indians are known as Indo-Aryans.

Yep, Swastikas are one of our religious symbols. My auntie has a few of them in her house.

We aren't supremacists tho lol, the Nazi's adopted our words and symbols and greatly distorted them to fit their own ideals.

Although the concept of an Aryan originally started to describe one born of a high caste (which is elitism but not supremacism), throughout the Sanskrit and Hindu epics it morphed to mean one with high moral standards, the compassionate who perform good deeds. Thus this removed the elitism because even people of lower castes could become Aryans based upon their behaviour.

yeah the Swastika symbol is present in most Asian cultures. Many Japanese items also have Swastikas on them since apart from Hindu it's also common in Buddhism.

Then decades ago it was spread around Europe, even here in Slavic countries it was often found as a decoration or in clan emblems.

btw Hitler explained the swastika in Mein Kampf.. he wanted something that represented the their 'struggle' and the as the german nationalists used it before him because of its Germanic/Aryan history.. the swastika worked..there was a long history behind the symbol and it was used to show a 'history' to the german people so they wouldnt feel vulnerable... it also fit nicely on a flag

Most parades had Scandinavian or Germanic God themes, emphasis on pagan holidays, etc. Shit, they even had a paranormal division that would research ways to use the paranormal during war.

So again, you know nothing and your statements are not based in the real world.

The whole Aryan thing came before the Nazis. It centers around the proto-Indo-Europeans, the speakers of the language that eventually split into the Germanic, Italic and most European languages, as well as the Iran/India area languages. The theories that fueled white supremacy saw the Indo-Europeans as the height of the caucasian race (Aryans). It's tied in with scientific racism but there's a lot of spirituality involved. The hatred for Semitic people also partially comes from this.

It's good to know because these theories still play an active but subtle role in Europe and to a lesser extent in America.

The rotated swastika was around before the Nazi, i dont think it is explained in Mien Kampf, the mirror image was meant to reflect bad luck and misfortune and the regular (clockwise) one was the hindu swastik..

Pretty much. Old Indian scriptures were translated saying that the Aryans were lighter coloured, many of them with lighter hair colour, bright eyes and brought major advances in India's history, well the territory at the time.. (in agriculture, etc, etc). At least thats what was in my Indian history book, and research I had to do on it, so Germans being the blond hair, blue eyed devils they are, lol, made the assumption that they were number 1 in terms of racial supremacy. This is just a broad sum up on it, but yeah.

I don't consider your songs to be rock. And if it wasn't for SH I wouldn't know your group and your songs. Not that I am saying I hate your songs or your genre. Actually, we have made rock music in the past. Our multi-platinum selling album "So Who Am I" was very much a rock album, some of it even bordered on metal, it was that heavy.

And I'm famous in the UK (ask Prize Gotti who has seen me on the TV and heard me on the radio PLENTY of times for example), and even MORE famous in India where our videos are on MTV and VH1 on a daily basis, and we headlined the MTV Awards and did songs for huge Bollywood movies. So because I don't have that notoriety in the country that YOU live in means I'm not a rockstar according to you? There are thousands of people that would come to my show in any given location (yes, even Canada where we've played to thousands of people as recently as this summer gone).

You are being an elitist. AR Rahman was not known outside of India until "Slumdog Millionaire" came out, but he's basically royalty over there. There's guys that sell millions of records in just a handful of countries but aren't known outside of those countries, those people aren't rockstars either? Your logic is completely flawed. I'm sure there's people who are huge in Canada that aren't known outside of there either. My friends in South Africa, the band Jozi cannot go anywhere in Africa without getting literally mobbed, MJ style. They sell millions of records in Africa but if you're not of African descent or live in Africa you wouldn't know who they are. Look up someone like Brenda Fassie or Fela Kuti for example. They aren't generally known outside of Africa but these people are musical GODS. Nana Mouskouri has sold 300 million records making her one of the biggest selling female artists of all time, yet she's basically unknown outside of Greece and it's surrounding countries, and people of Greek descent. I bet you'd consider say, Pete Wentz to be a rock star. But Fall Out Boy don't sell any records in India. They don't sell any records in China. Woops, there's half the worlds population. I doubt they sell records in Thailand, Japan, or anywhere in Africa. Nobody knows who they are in any of those countries. But you would consider him a rock star because he sells records in YOUR country. How musically snobbish and elitist can you get? Have you ever even left Canada or North America?
