I just don't see how people could say that AEOM is on the same level as Makaveli, which to me is a mind blowing album. IN MY OPINION, that is the only Pac album I would rate 5/5. A lot of the people who are saying that AEOM is a 5/5 would also give 7DT a 5/5 as well, and to me I don't get that.

Isn't Makaveli and The 7 Day Theory the same album? You said you'd give the Makaveli album a 5/5 and then you said the same people who'd give aeom an undeserving 5/5 would also give the 7dt album a 5/5. I don't get that. You made some type of error in explaining yourself or a contradictary statement.

Well of course not everything he did had to be conscious and deep, but to me it seems like he had an agenda on the first disc of the album, but on the second disc it kinda goes all over the place and it seems like a lot of songs were added on there to kill time. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the album is bad. To me a 3.5 rating is good but could have been better. But as I've said over and over and over again, it is just my opinion. I apologize for labeling people as dickriders, but I just don't understand the mentality of attacking someone for having a different opinion than theirs.
i agree with u makaveli is the best pac album...maybe aeom is a 4.5 or some like that, but u know 3.5??thats my point u guys r tryin to be hella controversial when u know everybody luvs the shit and u came and say its 3.5...u know u r startin something...

when i say its his best CD, its not my favorite, and also it doenst mean his best album as far as qaulity, if u judge qaulity then itd be 7 day theory with AEOM barely behind. but AEOM isnt really my favorite CD anymore, i like them all about the same except for loyal to the game.

You misunderstood me. My point was that I couldn't see how people who give Makaveli:7DT a perfect rating could give the same rating to AEOM, which isn't on the same level in my opinion. But once again, it's only my opinion, if you think they are equal, or that AEOM is better than 7DT, then more power to you.

Here, I'll break it down so everyone can see the reason for my rating of this album. If i were to rate it song by song, it would get a higher rating. According to cookies, I rated it a 4.1 in his thread. None of the songs are bad in my opinion. However when I look at the album as a whole rather than song by song, my view changes. The first disc is a straight classic in my opinion, I love almost every song on there, except for Whatz Ya Phone #, and that is because I'm not feeling the beat that much. I'm not saying I don't like it, but it doesn't get a lot of replay. However, near the middle of disc 2, it starts to get repetitive. It goes sex song, thug song, sex song, thug song, sex song, thug song. To me that lowers the quality of the album. Again, don't get me wrong, I love songs like Rather Be Ya Nigga, Check Out Time, Thug Passion and the like. But it's a bit too much and it starts to get redundant. That is why my rating is a 3.5 rather than a 4 or 4.5, which it would be if I judged the songs individually. I hope that explains the point I'm trying to make.

Don't you think I've actually listened to the whole album multiple times before making up my mind?

Considering that you agree with haunted, NO, I do not!! Look at what you agree with below.

Good Tracks:
Ambitionz Az a Ridah
Heartz of Men
Got My Mind Made Up
2 of Amerikaz Most
No More Pain
Tradin War Stories
Only God Can Judge Me
Life Goes On
I Ain't Mad at Cha
Holla at Me
When We Ride

Average Tracks:
California Love
Heaven Ain't Hard 2 Find
Shorty Wanna Be a Thug
Picture Me Rollin'

How could the albums title song "All Eyez On Me" be considered filler. "Skandalouz" also. By this you are going with someones opinion and not yours. This is why I doubt you've barely listened to all the songs.

And Makaveli is a great album, but it's only 12 songs. Lets be serious. How do you compare an album of 12 songs with an album of 27 songs, where more than half of the songs are good. You can't even compare them imo. They are both great in their own way, but All Eyez On Me is greater and is the album that brought 2pac to the top of the rap game.

How could you determine whether a song is filler or not when you are judging it based on beats alone. You are not qualified to quarrel with anyone about quality of music-And I say that respectfully. "I don't like whatz ya phone number because I wasn't feeling the beat too much"-- What a 11 yr. old way to look at music. Please tell me you are past 11. If you heard the song at a party, you'd have a whole different perspective of it. Listen to music from different perspectives and angles. I listen to rap day in and day out. From the beat, to the lyrics, to the content, and flow, delivery, etc. And this is no offense to you!!

Basically from your whole argument you are taking away from the album based on the tracklisting not because you think the songs are actual filler!!

And to DutchMakaveli -You have no real argument on the actual music on the album being filler itself. Haha, what a joke. You've got the nerve to diss me in one of your replies So you can go F**K YOURSELF!!

I don't judge songs on the basis of beats alone. But I listen to beats when I decide if I like a song. Are you saying that you listen to any song that has a beat, even if you hate the beat? Again read my post. I never said I didn't like the song, I just didn't care much for the beat. You said that you listen to rap from the beat to the lyrics to the content, flow delivery, etc. So you are saying that if there is a song that has some good lyrics and flow but a horrible beat, you are going to listen to it as much as a song that has a good beat and flow, lyrics, etc.? I am 25 years old, and I have been listening to rap music since I was 10. You should realize that "go fuck yourself" isn't a valid argument. You know what, don't even bother debating if you can't act like a reasonable person.

edit: You edited your post to be a bit more respectful so I'll do the same, but you shouldn't come at people like that, it makes you look like an idiot-and I say that respectfully

Try growing up, and maybe you will realize that "go fuck yourself" isn't a valid argument. You know what, don't even bother debating if you can't act like a reasonable person. You sound like you're the one who's 13, crying and whining because not everyone agrees with your opinion.

I apologize if I offended you and came at you a bit hard. I edited my posts because I thought you were DutchMakaveli at first. He was dissing me for nothing, but before I realized it I was already replying to your reasoning for rating aeom without noticing that you weren't him. So basically, I didn't mean to diss you so hard. But if you were to really be DutchMakaveli, I wouldn't left my original original message unedited.

I edited my post as well

It's cool, just try to be a bit more respectful and reasonable in your arguments. And you are partially right, I rated the album more by the tracklisting than which songs were fillers, but I do feel like a number of songs on disc 2 were added just to fill up time. It seemed like Pac already said what he had to say, but they still had some room left so he just said "here, throw these on there as well" Some of the songs would be better suited as b-sides on singles.
