What's up with Rahim?

Hey everyone

Caesar's right. I'm really busy. Anything I do (even coming to this board) feels like more work to me. I'll get back into it once I stop feeling so overwhelmed.

But hey, props masta. This thread is a good way to encourage me to come back here. I miss posting news here too.

But here is a little update on me...

I've decided that for me to have a higher chance of getting a great job in the music industry, I will need a higher education. So after completion of my IT Diploma next year and my Music Production & Audio Engineering Diploma which I will start in October 2010, I will go to school for another 2 years and earn a BBA.

After I've finished my education, I'd really like to be a music director for a TV show and work with licensing and things like that -- not necessarily producing music, but if the opportunity comes, why not?

So yeah... that's basically what my plan is for the future.

What's everyone up to? Fill me in.

SOFI? Rukas? Millitant? EDouble? even..Carmi lol. Whats up Carmi?

SiGh? DP?

Everyone fill me in. I'd like to hear from you.

Hey Rahim, first of all check out my new single - S-Endz - it's a free downlod, I produced it myself, and it features Rukas, I think you will dig it. Aside from my solo material I'm in the middle of writing the new album with the band, and at the moment I'm over in the States for a bit.

Secondly I don't want to shit on your parade but qualifications and educational background means jackshit in the music industry, never has and never will. Unless you are thinking of becoming a music teacher, your time would be better spent going out, networking, meeting people, etc. This business is not about what you know. This is advice coming from someone that has been in this industry his entire life.

The track sounds dope man. It should be playing in the background of a candy commercial. Electric man is tight too.

Well.... not a music teacher but a music director or coordinator yes. With that, I would need a business background. If I ever wanted to work for any kind of marketing company I'm going to need a BBA.

But what else is new with you man?
 
i thought rahim was away cooking up some dope 2pac remixes but didnt wanna pressure him into posting them up
 
go for it rahim. i always think imagine if i pursued a career in music... what would i do? producing really appeals to me but its not what ive always wanted to do, though it still very much appeals to met.

in all seriousness I'm glad to hear that you're doing some serious studying to get a great career. I am jealous because I just realized the program I am isn't doing shit for me and the program I want to transfer in is making it hard for nothing to get in.

Anyhow hope it's all going well for you. Post more soon! Come back as a regular poster, no need for you to start posting news again if you don't have the time.
