I believe we are nothing but data stacked up in our brain, when the heart stops, the data is cleared and we are gone, since "We" consist of nothing but diffrent data wich forms our personality.

i want to believe theres something, but my logic says theres nothing.

the only thing im wondering is how the fuck the brain handles being dead, i mean there must be some kind of brain activity/seconds/minutes/hours after we die, how would this shutdown feel/look like for us??? a display of memories?, brightfull colors? or flying through a tunnel?

my dad died 3-4 months ago, he had diabetics, had lost one leg, all his toes, some fingers, a kidney, and problems with the heart... althrough he went through all of that shit, he still maintained and was one of greatest personalities ive ever been around, and thats not just because he was my dad, he had the ability to enlighten your day when you had speaked with him, others felt like that to, he wasnt the only one punished when he left, people tend to forget that when speaking about religions, because they seem to focus on the one hit, when 100+ where affected by this...

we can now see in our genes if someone in our family had disabilities.
we can now choose and pick out a baby without disabilities, by looking at genes... if everyone did that, would it mean that each and every person born this way was perfect in his/her last life??

that was a good question, I understand where you and minardi are coming, but the way I see it is just I just cant accept the fact that the disabled and diseased havent done anything to actually deserve what has happened to them, Allah aint forgetting noone.I either see them as being happier than us, sinned in their after life or actually have a "reserved seat" in heaven.In other words, there's either something good waiting for them after Judgement day or it's cause they've done wrong in their other life, that's if there really was something such as the afterlife.

The brain is still alive for at least 30 minutes after death.(its still giving signals)
