untouchable swizzy
pac's life
what's next
playa cards right (female)
playa cards right (male)
don't stop
pac's life remix
sleep

-------------------------------------------------
Pac flows horribly on all of them. Upon closer inspection:
-------------------------------------------------
untouchable swizzy - hits the bars late
pac's life - hits the bars late
whats next- toooo tooooo slow, sounds like ghetto gospel.
sleep-starts off too slow, this is disputable, its not as bad as the rest.
playa cards right (female)- horribly offbar for the first two lines
playa cards right (male)- horribly offbar for the first two lines
don't stop- hits the bars late
pac's life remix- hits the bars late
--------------------------------------------------
What's a rapper without flow? A spoken word poet?
How do they release this without noticing that all of the featuring artists are outshining the main one flow-wise.

The playa cards right can be explained: they either wanted to censor it or there layer doesn't include the missing lines (which is suspicious, as the layers include everything else).

Everything else is ridiculous. They are making a silly, yet drastic mistake on the mans feature art. Who gets paid to mix these!?!??!

This is what I'm talking about when I say the album is complete trash. You can ride Amaru's dick all you want and say putting crunk beats to Pac is the right way to go, but putting something off-beat is never good. We have mixers in Mix Em Up that can do a better job than that.

Not true.. Simple as that.

Actually, let's narrow it down:

- Sleep, u said it urself that it's arguable.. Let's forget it for now.
- The Playa Cards mixes: u said in ur post that the 1st 2 lines were probably edited, so what the hell u complainin about the flow for?!! And if it's a mixing problem, how come the rest of the verse is ok? I dont think they mixing line-by-line!!

- The rest of what u said, not true. Pac's Life verse is not that well structured. There is a slight problem, but it's within the verse itself, not the mixing. Other than that, all was ok. I mean ur a mixer, i'll hook u up with a ready "dont stop" loop, and maybe u can show us how the verse should be.. Remix it urself how it should be, and i'll compare them.. Or if ur not up to it, tell me in milliseconds, how late does it hit the bars, and i'll mix it how u want, and we'll compare the outcome to the album's version...

- Whatz Next is a lil slow.. So what?? It sounds as normal as it can be.. Ok, do this. All Eyez On Me, Disc 1, Track 7, "No More Pain", listen to it.. Then listen to Whatz Next again. Sound the same, dont they..

- Untouchable Swizz.. been out for like what now? Why u just noticed it hits the bar late?! Anyways, i also dont agree on this.. But it's the most legit point u made.. But still it's ok, nothin' blunt or serious...

Don't want to hate on the album, i don't mind a couple of tracks but What's Next is totally fucked from beginning to end, just because pac was slow on another track doesn't justify slowin him down on others.

I don't hate the album, it's just alright to me. It grew on me a little.

ehh... after listening to it a few more times... i think its coo... i just liked the OG vibe to it better... I really like Dumpin... and would like playa cards right with keisha cole if pac had another verse on there...

Well, Whatz Next aint slow at all, its tempo is same as the OG's!!! Believe me, i've inspected it thoroughly, and here is what i found out:

- The OG length of Pac's verse is 51.100 seconds (assume a marginal human error of 0.050 seconds, so the verse's length should be smth between 51.050 and 51.150 seconds).

- The album version's length of Pac's verse is 51.150 seconds (assume a marginal human error of 0.050 seconds, so the verse's length should be smth between 51.100 and 51.200 seconds).

Now assume the worst scenario, which is a 51.050 length for the OG and 51.200 for the album's mix. So in the worst case, the album's version would only be slower by 0.150 secs.. A difference, which distributed over a course of 51 secs, is hardly noticeable by the human ear!!
Now how is that even remotely similar to the "Ghetto Gospel" disaster?!!

Anyways, here is a small blend i made that proves that my initial values are right. What i did was cut ~ 51.200 secs from the album's "Whatz Next", starting at Pac's "Caught" word in the begining of his verse. After that, i cut 51.050 secs from the OG version, also starting at the word "Caught". Then i stretched the 2nd cut from 51.050 to 51.100 and mixed it into the 1st cut (with the OG cut's volume set at 160% and the album's cut set at 40%, so they're both equally audible, since the album's volume was much higher). The result, as i expected was a relatively smooth blend, where the vocals mixed together from start to end. Check it out:

Now anyone complainin' about this track, just stick to "crunk", "wierd", etc.. No tempo problem here!!

after reading all these threads im kinda glad all ive heard is pac's life n untouchable....

My theory is that to cut down on the fee for studio time afeni heard about cool edit and just downloaded it off mirc and is just havin the outlawz or somebody use cool edit to crank out some pac joints and slap em on a cd.

She figures she has to pay enough to press the cd's, why pay for studio time when you have cool edit. Technology these days.

They suck.

Beat me to it.

Pac's life is stupid...why mix two differnt acapellas in the same track? The pacs life verse does not flow well at all.

On this i agree :thumb: .. I think LT originally made the beat for "This Life I Lead", as a remix or smth, cause the 2nd Pac verse flows way better than the OG Pac's Life verse.. They should've sampled Pop Life in at least one of the 2 versions on the album.

They have many things in common like : they were great songs in OG form and were totally fucked. Also titles of most are fucked.

To that Nazi guy: maybe you haven't heard the OG's that you like this album so much. On every possible thread you say it's soo good etc. like there's no bad thing about it.
